I don't know why I let myself get sucked into this stuff, but I can't help it. This latest display of hypocrisy by a crew from the left is beyond pathetic.
The shit stain known as Now Magazine, which stays in business by selling space to hookers, whores and handjobists thought it might be a good idea to fuck with Mayor Rob Ford in this week's edition.
Upset that Ford has already done more for the city in four months than their hero David Miller did in seven years, the shit stain decided to photo shop a picture of the Mayor's head on the naked body of a fat guy. A different fat guy.
It goes along with the typical crapola story you'd expect from the shit stain. A weasel named Enzo Di Matteo uses a whole pile of words, way too many actually, to say the same tired stuff we've been hearing from the immature left since Ford announced his candidacy for Mayor.
Basically, according the shit stain he's responsible for absolutely everything that's wrong with the city, even though it would been virtually impossible for that to happen given the time frame we're dealing with.
But let's push all that aside. What's horrifically nauseating about the whole thing is the hypocrisy. Everything that Now Magazine apparently stands for blows up with the picture of Mayor Ford.
They use his physical appearance to take shots at his professional demeanor.
How can that be? Now Magazine, save the discount hog washing ads in the back, stands for what's right and decent and proper and politically correct in our society. In the world that Now Magazine lives in you're supposed to judge people solely on character and not exploit their physical shortcomings.
Obesity is a disease after all.
I admit that already I've given the shit stain way more attention than it deserves on the pages of CanadianThinker.com, but sometimes you just gotta fire back at those who have their heads stuck so far up their ass they can't see straight.
And spare me trying to spin this story into something it isn't. Yes, copies of the shit stain were removed from City Hall and that was a mistake. They should have been left where they were. Especially when you consider the Mayor considered the source, laughed off the pictures and went about his business.
Apparently someone else made the call. Ford is smart enough to know not to play into their hands. (I wish I was.)
And shame on Adam Vaughn. What kind of an asshole is he that he'd go grab a pile of shit stains and walk into City Hall to replenish the shit stain box. Has this guy got nothing better to do with his time?
Is he a fucking child?
You know there is an upset to all of this. The behaviour of these creeps does nothing but underline how fortunate the city is to be back in the hands of adults.
*Freditors note - I was going to post this on Now's facebook page but they don't allow readers to post - so much for the freedom of speech they mouth off about.

Welcome back Freddiep this is the first real rant you have made in 2-3 years.
NO PULLED PUNCHES and not politically correct.
They are afraid of Ford because he has done exactly what he said he would do.That scares the shit out of them and it should
April 1, 2011 / 19:00
Good rant Fred but as always I need to pipe in
1. Obesity is not a disease Fred. It's primarily because of lifestyle choices. If Obesity was a disease why doesn't it exist in Sudan or other poor nations
2. I think Ford is a prick because he rants on about the waste then asks McGuinty for $$$. McGuinty will petition the feds and the root of the money tree is 400 miles north of Calgary.
3. There is nothing wrong with advertising prostitution.
4. NOW Magazine, a rag which often espouses the merits of unions was a target of a union drive. Management went OUT of their way to quash the union (and I think they were successful). NOW presents the same old 1970's socialist rambles it always has & won't change. That said, the ad's can be cool for what's happening in Toronto.

Now magazine is only useful to see what is going on in the city.
Its editorials make the Toronto Star sound like the National Post.
The target audience of NOW are those in the poverty industry and anyone else who has lived off some sort of government handout for a long time.

@Irvine
1. Obesity is still considered a disease in many circles. It's a controversial subject that still has no definite conclusion. Google it.
2.Ford asked McGuinty for what Ontario was entitled to.
Why wouldn't he.
3. No, there is nothing wrong with advertising prostitution if you're not a politcally correct judgemental rag that claims to look out of the vulnerable and disturbed, of which most sex trade workers are.
4. I agree.

In my world, NOW Magazine is invisable. It should be treated that way by all. Even the Photoshop job they they did sucks.
April 2, 2011 / 01:40
Irvine.....get a grip
wish Ford was my mayor, I live in a small town and our taxes are probably going up 4%.....how bout yours asshole!
April 2, 2011 / 06:43
I listened to an interview with the CEO of Now Magazine yesterday regarding the photoshopped covers of the last two weeks, and the strongest defense she could muster was "the whole world photoshops pictures so why shouldn't we?"
That was a direct quote. How pathetic.
Ask anyone in the print media business and they will tell you that the front page picture is the most important tool they have to attract readers. It is designed to tell a story with no words as a hook to get a passerby to pick up the product. A close secondary role is to influence, no matter how minutely, the perception about the subject in the eyes of whoever sees it.
The question in my mind isn't about why Now isn't held to a higher standard of integrity but why aren't they holding themselves to a higher standard.

My computer froze when hit post and I wasn't sure it got through. Sorry for the repitition.
April 2, 2011 / 07:48
The one or two times I've picked up "Shit Stain Now", I've felt the need for a hot shower afterwards.
April 2, 2011 / 08:33
As usual the 'tolerant' and 'compassionate' and 'let's embrace everybody' left wing-nuts show their true colours of being the biggest hypocrites on the planet.
April 2, 2011 / 11:00
I agree, Adam Vaughan is a douche bag.
April 2, 2011 / 13:40
@Gene:
The popular consensus in this world is to make everything a disease. Obesity isn't a disease. For most people it's simply a lifestyle choice. YOU as a right winger should recognize PERSONAL responsibility.
@Lumby.
I'm a right wing guy, a Calgarian and vote to the RIGHT of the Conservatives. Ford isn't a Conservative, he's an idiot. A Conservative doesn't put his hand out and ask for a donation. He doesn't insult or demean others. A real Conservative shuts up, pulls himself up by his bootstraps and builds a consensus. REAL GRASSROOTS Conservative. Not the so called "Ford" type.
Ford shot his mouth off that Toronto City Hall was full of gravy. Then he begs for $$$ from Queens Park.
Most of the Conservatives on this blog, Fred included, are "centrists".

Kidnapper--- “I’m smart, I had a great career . . . why would I do something crazy,” asked Gopaul between tears. “But I did and I am paying for it.”
Is she sorry for grief for the family whose child was abducted---NO--just for herself...rot in lesbo jail fair lady---hahahaha
April 2, 2011 / 16:51
Now is owned by TorStar. This is just another day in their campaign of trying to denigrate and discredit Ford. Happily it's not working. All they are doing is making themselves look foolish and if they keep it up are going to get themselves into some rather deep hot water.
April 2, 2011 / 17:15
@Dimwit
You're thinking of "Eye Magazine". They're the ones owned by The Star.
April 2, 2011 / 17:30
This only became a "story" when city hall had the papers pulled...If the papers were left alone no one would be talking about this...NOW's antics have further solidified Rob Ford's position with the Right and garnered him some sympathy along the way and NOW is the champion of free speech....Win/Win all around
April 2, 2011 / 18:30
@Wayner
Now may be a champion of free speech, but they're grand champions of hypocrisy. You can't post on their facebook and their online comments are monitored. Odd for a self righteous rag.
April 2, 2011 / 19:10
@Gene
No idea that they did that...very cowardly. But in public perception they still seem to be battling censorship
April 3, 2011 / 17:06
Banu Iranian Restaurant on Queen Street West has posted anti-Ford stuff on it's outdoor chalkboard since before the election. Yesterday the message read "Rob Ford is still an idiot". If I'd had a chalk in my pocket, I would have added "Smitherman lost - get over it...."
April 3, 2011 / 18:51
Ah he still looks 300 lbs of fun to me.
Go get em Robbie.
