Screw the treaty's. Everybody has to be treated equally. I'm tired of masked native Canadians complaining about how bad they are treated. I wish I could be exempted from the HST but that's not going to happen. I went to a native school once in Northern Ontario; after 1 year it was in shambles. No respect for what was done for them. What do the want?

Mike, why don't you explain to everyone exactly why it is a Federal issue "plain and simple"? There's nothing "plain and simple" about any of this except that the Province of Ontario guaranteed the developers title to the property. It would seem to me that if the natives are disputing it, it's up to Ontario to prove the legitimacy of the provincial guarantee, not the Feds.

Listened to a CBC radio program on this Truth and Reconciliation hearing and found out that there have been 2 sets of rules regarding prosecution of Natives. They get cut slack for the environment they were raised in, getting reduced sentences. Surprising most educated natives want to be treated equally, and actually hate the double standard.
Another tidbit: Indian affairs gets about 9 billion a year but the natives still live in 3rd world conditions on some reserves. Corruption/inefficiencies within the government bureaucracy and the band councils ensures the people who need it most don't get it.
The whole system needs to be revamped, we have to get past the 150 years of guilt and move on. The Irish aren't chasing the Brits for compensation over the potato famine of 150 years ago, it's time to move on.

Yeah i did notice it, that house washing looks great. That power washing organization in Knoville does a great job.
