The All Too Common Riots

I chuckle at the e-mails I've received from Hab fans today emphatic that last night's riot was just a handful of people and not representative of "all" Hab fans.

Fair enough, but I remember back to the most recent Leaf playoff runs when Leaf fans were ridiculed by Hab fans for honking horns and waving flags on Yonge St. for simply winning a playoff series and not the Stanley Cup.

Even though the vast majority of Leaf fans didn't do it, It was OK for Hab fans to generalize back then but now it seems they want to change the rules.

Just more of what makes Hab fans aggravating.

To tell you truth, I'm surprised there haven't been riots in Toronto, given the hundreds of thousands of Montrealers who've come to Hogtown over the past decade for a better life.

I lived in Toronto when Leafs' fans celebrated. It was after game one in the very first series. Please. We're off to Round 3 after beating the President's Cup Champs and Defending Stanley Cup Champs. Not the same scenario. Every hockey analyst has said it from ESPN to TSN to CBC. This Montreal team is trying to accomplish something that has never been done before.

Freeway, Hab fans trashed the town after a first round victory over the Bruins in 2008. Please, there's no comparison and no excuses.

Ha ha ha. Good one Freeway. Did these 12 people have 10 changes of clothes each or something? Or were the pictures and videos all the work of CGI artists hired by MLSE?

Freeway you keep saying 12 people do you watch the news. The videos I have seen from the french Media show a lot more then 12 people maybe only 12 were caught but there was many more

you keep talking about Toronto Fans honking there horns after round 1 who were they hurting who's private property was damaged how many stores we ransacked this oh well attitude that you take towards this only shows the arrogance of the typical Habs

Have the Habs been a surprise they sure have If I was a habs fan I would share in your enthusiasm but I am not and I am not a leaf fan either I have no dogs in this fight except for
my hatred of the habs fans at playoff times they seem to lose all sense of respect and pride
