Telling It Like It Is
12 Responses to "Telling It Like It Is"Freeway May 29, 2010 / 16:32 If the Leafs had the same run, again, the city would be inside out. This was done by a Leafs' fan for sure. Just shows the level of insecurity. Happy Summer! And till next year, when the Habs add size and get rid of those lazy Euros like the KosTITsyns. Freddie P. May 29, 2010 / 17:29 Sorry Frank, but it ain't gonna be that easy. Gomez.. done and on and on. The amazing playoff run may have be the worst thing that could have happened. Here it goes folks. If the Leafs get Marleau there's no doubt they will finish ahead of the Habs next year. Way more upside on the Buds. The Leafs won only nine less games this year, and that's with blowing the team up in January, and lets not forget, the Leafs beat the Habs three of the last four times they met. And one more thing, Burke has Kaberle to trade this summer. To defend myself, when I predicted the Leafs would finish ahead of the Habs this past season, I wasn't too far off the mark. Freeway May 30, 2010 / 06:04 you're right, not too far off, Leafs didn't make the playoffs for year 6 in a row..Habs went to final 4. Buddy, big rumours that Marleau could end up in Mtl so don't get too excited. I even heard another about either LeCavallier or even Thorton. So rumours are just that. If you think Mtl is keeping this team exactly the way it is? You're wrong. Gauthier already said in his end of year conference that he's looking to get bigger. Metro, Bergeron, Kostitsyns..all gone..markov, gone in the next year making room for PK. Hammy, gone after one year or in a trade this year. Price or Halak will get us the power forward that we want. Either one will get dealt. I'd sign both to start the season and trade Price. (more value) Gionta=captain leader..Gill for one more. Gomez works well with Gionta and they will get some size to play with. Cammy with no injuries, 40 goal scorer. Habs will be bigger next year and guaranteed to finish ahead of Toronto, that's for sure. El Torpedo May 30, 2010 / 10:41 "If the Leafs had the same run, again, the city would be inside out." Freeway, why do continue to say this??? The Leafs did go on similar runs, as recently as 2002, or have you forgotten? There was no rioting. There was no rioting in 1993, there was no rioting in 1994, and there was no rioting in 1999. Yet everytime the Habs do anything in the playoffs, the downtown gets trashed. What's the first thing that happened after the Canadiens won the Cup in 93? Do I need to say it? El Torpedo May 31, 2010 / 08:24 Freeway, the fact that I can turn up real, documented examples of looting and vandalism in Montreal in about 2 seconds while you can only offer up some vague recollection from your imagination means this arguement is pretty much a slamdunk for me. Even so, your mentioning 2002 - the same year the Leafs went to the third round. Strange - I can't find any mention of looting. Have a look at this video. This is how Toronto celebrates victories. Note the lack of riot police, burning cars, and smashed shop windows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwrHVfLUT6o&sns=em
That Guy June 5, 2010 / 01:56 I'd post songs about jelousy, but there are too many. Montreal Canadians will always be the greatest team in the NHL. Fuck anyone who says that 24 cups is old news. Its the most any team has ever won, noone comes even within 10. Habs fans would destroy leaf fans in any sort of competition, and the Leafs can keep on missing the playoffs. You guys just celebrated 40 years with no cup a few years ago. Soon its gonna be a decade without the playoffs. Let's have a party, I'll bring the booze! hypotheek August 8, 2010 / 21:55 Hypotheek informatie, hypotheek aanvragen of afsluiten? Hypotheekrentes bekijken.
