Abortion advocates actually try to convince women in what they call "high risk" pregnancies to have the life sucked out of them.
A Hamilton woman decided to keep her "high risk" child after all, even though he was born with a disability. The sister of the little boy says his life has enriched the lives of those around him. Caring for a special needs child is not a chore, but rather a life-enlightening experience.
Shame on those who would use the possibility of a child being born with a challenge as an excuse to push their own, murderous agenda!

I have my own very personal experiences with this subject that I don't want to share, even anonymously. Even so, Fred, I wish sometimes I could have your confident stance on this issue. I can't. No matter what, whenever this subject is raised I feel intensely conflicted, because I've never been able to refute the point Right Uppercut made. The notion that life doesn't begin until the child is born is way too convenient to me.

Life does not begin at child birth, it begins earlier, however there is a window of time when a fetus is still a fetus without a heart or a brain and therefore does not represent viable life.
If you wanna make the argument that killing the zygote or anything a bit more developed as a kin to murder than what about contraception? Should that also be deemed illegal and conisdered murder? After all, the sperm is one half of a potential zygoat that can potentially become a baby and is being blocked from merging with the other half of that same potential baby? Where do we draw the line? Abortion should be avoided at all costs and is a very difficult choice, but one that should be made by the mother and not by the government.

I'm not sure what you mean by saying a zygote is not a viable life. It's not like some zygotes end up becoming a loaf of bread, or an alarm clock. It's going to grow into a human being. As for the contraception question, you're point relies on the assumption that every sperm is going to fertilize an egg everytime intercourse occurs.

The question I have is this: How come a woman can do with whatever she wants to with her unborn baby (right up to delivery) but once the baby is delivered, she will be charged if she harms the baby in any way or denies the baby of care, nourishment, etc. She is also charged if that newly born baby is not properly buckled in a baby seat in her car.
