What a great weekend this has turned out to be...can't wait to point and laugh at Habs flags on cars but first I've got to find them..they're disappearing fast

One shot on goal in the second period?
That'll win a series (not).
PK Subban is a fine young fella but today he looked like a house league doofus.
Goodbye Habbers and your annoying soccer songs!

13 - 5 Flyers. Go Habs Go.
May 22, 2010 / 22:32
what? no Freeway yet?
I misspoke the Habs will not score a goal in any of the Flyers wins.
May 22, 2010 / 23:08
@Reilly
May I also add, that one shot they had on the Flyer's goalie was from about 180ft out. So, do we REALLY call that a shot or were they just trying to get the puck out of the zone which just happened to hit the net?
Bottom line, terrible game for mtl and anyone who supports them. 3 out of 4 games they've been shut out and they STILL "believe"?! Come on... WAKE UP!!! The dream and luck is over. Thanks for coming out.

The Canadiens only need to win the next three games to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. We need to take it one game at time.
The Canadiens inconsistent play has frustrated fans and detractors alike.
Legitimate or not, by making it this far into the playoffs is something other teams can only wish about.
If any of you watched the game on HNIC the 2nd intermission interview with Ken Dryden was an eloquently delivered insight on the Canadiens and how special they are to fans and hockey.
Let's get behind and original Six Stanley Cup Final
Go Habs Go.
May 23, 2010 / 09:31
Billy boy the flags are harder to find then Habs goals in this series
GO PHILLY GO
Freddie, another item for your habs store
May 23, 2010 / 09:33
I like the 3 goals that they didn't score in the first period with there ONLY 3 Shots
what a quality team

@MississaugaBlogger.com
You are right. Dryden's thoughtful, elegant, tolerant and sensitive understanding of the importance of the Canadiens and their history to Quebec's and Canada's culture was poignant and touching. His awareness of the melding of English and French throughout the club's history as metaphor for the unity of the country, was nothing short of brilliant. Unfortunately, though, such depth of understanding is lost on the bigoted and shallow minority, who are too narrow-minded and or stupid to apprectate what he had to say. Even today, there are those who hate the Habs, not for their success, but for their French connection. Fortunately, though, their words will betray them, if you read between the lines.

Leaf fan who cheers for Habs washes ashore.

@Truth-seeker / Glenn
Get off the anti-french thing, it's ridiculous, cheap and desperate.
May 23, 2010 / 10:04
So...I guess this mean the Consolation Round isn't over yet?
May 23, 2010 / 11:10
Dryden was, as always, an eloquent, thoughtful, tremendous bore. Listening to MacLean try to prove his vocabulary matches Dryden's resulted in a stupefying endless drone. Today I can't recall a single thing that was said. Zzzzzzzzz...
May 23, 2010 / 13:16
I think I spotted Guy Lafleur outside the habs(bahs)dressing room handing out illegal smokes to the boys trying to see if that could spark them to do something.
Good old Guy sure like to puff on the butts between periods when he was playing
May 23, 2010 / 21:26
Chicago and ???---one legit team.
May 24, 2010 / 11:53
@El Torpedo
Your English and History teachers must have loved you.
May 24, 2010 / 11:56
@Freddie P.
You are so right, Fred. The French factor has absolutely nothing to do with the long-standing history of animosity between the Maple Leafs and the Canadiens; provides absolutely no context for the intense rivalry between the clubs an cities. You need to read more, Fred, or, just be honest with yourself.

Cinderella teams never win. Philly may win one.
Nice to see the Hawks doing well.
May 24, 2010 / 15:30
Sorry, it is the long weekend. I know my many legions of fans/haters await my presence.
As a Habs fan, this has been an amazing season no matter what happens.
It could be worse. I could be watching other teams while the team I loved as a child missed their 6th playoffs in a row. Or the team I loved as a child went out early in the first round with the NHL's best goalie.
Life is good.
It ain't over yet. And if it happens to be after tonight, It's May 24th. Season ended almost 2 months ago.
May 24, 2010 / 19:07
Truth-seeker, I'd call you an idiot, but you'd probably accuse me of being anti-french. I've been a Leaf fan all my life, and hated the Habs for as long, and never once have I come across anyone who hates the Habs because they're a "french" team. For all I know, you're right, and there was something to it sometime in the distant past, but that time is over. Let it go.
May 26, 2010 / 17:54
Dryden took too many PUCKS to the head. That's why he's a liberal!
