Yeah Mikey, I bet you could go on for days about his hair, and it would be about as relevant and insightful as the rest of the gibberish you just wrote. I think Fred was looking for specifics here, not cliched generalities. You made exactly one point that had at least some debatable merit - the GST. The rest was garbage. I give you a fail.
May 11, 2010 / 09:14
Fred - I'm honoured.
Torpedo - I'm hurt beyond belief.
May 11, 2010 / 09:51
Go Harper Go
Better a cut to the GST then and increase. I am not complaining.
May 11, 2010 / 10:11
The only thing Harper has done lately that makes any sense is he won't fund Toronto pride festival. Other than that he only makes safe decisions; ones that anyone with half a brain could make. He's hanging on to power by a thread. If the other parties could get their stuff together he'd be gone in no time. Until then don't expect anything earth shattering from the conservatives. Mikey is right. His press conferences are carefully orchestrated shams.
May 11, 2010 / 11:13
And you think the President of the U.S. doesn't have orchestrated Press conferences??? Or the president of any country for that matter.Hanging onto power by a thread?? He consistently is leading in the polls, maybe not a majority but still leading.
May 11, 2010 / 11:33
Harper’s success is due primarily to the complete lack of leadership in the other federal parties…as my mom says “he’s a one-eyed king in a land of the blind…”
May 11, 2010 / 14:01
"Harper and his party listen to and take advice from
people who make the world safe for child molesters."
Who are these people, lack of details.
"That, and the fact that he's dragging this country backwards socially."
How, give examples.
"And he takes credit for economic safeguards put in place by other
governments that helped us avoid the worst of this recession."
Again, give examples.
"Since he's the bitch of big business, we could easily be worse off than the
USA if he had more time to put his fingerprints on our economy."
How, give examples of his big business policies.
"How about his unwavering support of Israel? Is it just me, or are people who think god promised them land complete wack jobs?"
Harper and all the other western leaders support Israel, your point being?
"Have we covered his complete disdain for democracy? His belief that parliament serves at his beck and call is dangerous, and he certainly
has a totalitarian streak in him."
His call as PM. All other PM's in history had the same power, they just didn't use it.
"Reducing the GST to 5% was moronic pandering that got great reviews from the many idiots that post here. Anyone spending more money because of it?"
Unlike the Fiberals who promised to eliminate the GST, then did a 180 and did nothing?
"Now can anyone tell me how much money is not going to
things like health and education because of it? For God's sake."
Health and Education are also Provincial. Thank the lying Liberals in Ontario for adding a hidden health tax that's taken off your paycheck.
"Does his lack of balls concern anyone? He must pick and choose who gets to ask him questions, because: 1)He can't think on his feet; 2)A
free press does not fit into his vision of Canada."
Just like all the other western leaders. Nothing new here.
"Is that enough? I could go on for days about his hair if you'd like."
Mikey
Well, it certainly wasn't enough. You have no arguments, all you're doing is spouting words and sentences with no meaning and nothing to back it up. Any idiot can do that.
Freddie: I'm glad you posted Mikey's "detailed piece". It shows he has no facts to back up his rantings.

Most politicians are there to pad their resume's for their careers after politics. Just because I support the Liberal party it doesn't mean I don't know politicians generally are full of shit. If any of our leaders had an original thought, I'd be shocked.

Caught the Guergis interview on TV...CBC...looked kie she was fighting back anger. Star story says Harp's crew refutes it all.
