Yeah right. How will survive as a society without our kids being educated at school about the finer points of anal sex?
Wow. Never thought I'd hear Fred Patterson argue that People should look to government to protect their kids rather than take responsibility for it themselves. Why take an interest in what your kid is doing on the computer when we can get teachers to take care of it for us.
Good grief - sorry, I'm not being niave, no 6 year old kid is busy searching for porn on the Internet. There's many effective safeguards to protect your kids from being exposed to harmful material on the web, if parents would educate themselves.

I have a grade 6 Child, I personally don't mind it. I vote Conservative but we are a liberal family when it comes to how we lead our lives . I think done in the right manner using the correct tools I think this will help reduce teenage pregnancy or STD amongst teenagers

I'm still waitting at 48 for my dad to have this talk with me.
It's a tough call, in my day it was a buddy stealing dads Playboy or Penthouse (and try to get an older friends brother to buy you a Hustler for more naughty bits.) But man the stuff on the net just over whelms. I showed my white bread, love the queen raised spouse some of the net content and she nearly fainted thinking this is what our kids could be stumbling upon. We tried Net Nanny etc. years ago and short of being some sort of IT guru to keep it all working without sitting with your kid on the computer.
On the other hand my kids at 6 ot 7 didn't have unsupervised net access, and having a teacher deliver the tawdry bits in school at this age, is a bit of a stretch, the kids are too young.

Fred, you are right in agreeing with McGuinty on this one issue. Like or not kids are getting into trouble sexually at amazingly young ages and therefore the earlier they are taught the earlier they and their parents can be protected because lets face it when the parent gives in and gets them the cell phone with the camera and the text messaging because the kid wont give it a rest its on the parents ass for not explaining this stuff to their kids.
By the time kids hit middle school folks in more cases that most would like or care to acknowledge sex education is too late. It needs to happen before middle school.

I for one am outraged. How dare the premier promise us this curriculum only to change his mind at the last minute.
I mean, how are the kids to be indoctrinated with the idea that being gay is good and believing in god is bad? I just hope one day, all kids will look at us and not laugh because we're different - queer if you will.
