Ok, let's not go so far as saying squad of losers. Mtl is more of a team than Washington. This series is going to a 6th game. So far, pretty much everyone has predicted this one incorrectly. Washington has too many individual players and that won't get them to the Cup. That's why Pitts will repeat. Caps have no chance to win 16 games. I repeat. No Chance.

I'm not going to argue your point that Pitt will win the cup again this year and that Washington will not Freeway. But to suggest that MTL is more of a team than Washington is moronic. They won the presidents trophy for a reason. They are a good team. They are a much better team than MTL. They have not been playing to their potential in this series and a result the habs have won a couple of games. But Washington will win this series. They will likley win their 2nd round series as well. The Habs have no chance. They have nothing going for them and will not be a contender for a long time. If I were a Habs fan, I would be calling for a complete tear down of the team, coaches and GM. They are in need of a rebuild big time. But as a Leafs fan, I almost want them to stick with the sub par coaching and players they have now. I enjoy seeing the Habs continue to fail (17 years and counting)as much as Habs fans enjoy seeing the leafs miss the playoffs. The only comfort I take as a leafs fan now is that we are on the right path again. The Leafs will win the cup before Montreal does.

Who do they play in their division? Exactly.

Second, you're judged in the playoffs not the season.

Recall, Habs won the Eastern Conference a few years back. Means nothing.

Goaltending. Theo = Not a Good Goalie. Varlamov = not better than Halak. Most of the league would even take Price in a heartbeat.

Offense. Way too many individuals on the team. They have no heart. The Caps can't win the way they play. That's why Mtl is still there.

Finally, coaching? Boudreau? Arrogant, not funny. Bad coach who worked under Jean Perron many years ago. Jean said he wouldn't listen and he was a cocky prick. Doesn't surprise me. They ain't winning the CUP.

More importantly, if the Habs win tomorrow. (and hey, they've put up a good fight already) The Habs have proven how weak and how many holes the Caps really do have.
