Habs Watch - Two Down, Two To Go

April 20, 2010 @ 00:28

Not a lot to say about this one. It seems the respective clubs are finding their level which means the Habs played like the mediocre, too small, too meek, lucky to make the playoffs, marginally better than the Leafs team they are.

Returning to the Bell Centre in front of a sea of aggravating Hab fans was supposed to work in their favour, but instead Le Canadien continued where they left off in Washington on Saturday night.

Hopefully this series will continue to play out the way it should and the Habs will be gone by Friday.

5-1 Caps. Nice one!

A true sign of spring, Leaf fans only sports pleasure is a Canadiens loss. One day I hope you folks do have someone to follow in the playoffs and perhaps even a parade.

We enjoyed following the Leafs in the playoffs through most of the 90's and early 2000's while the Habs sucked.
But Hab fans forget about that!

Lets face it....we are all looking forward to a Pittsburg-Washington eastern final. aka Sid the kid vs big Al.

I'm hoping Chicago gets out of their Cup drought. My spring time play off enjoyment has nothing to do with the Habs, as much as MississaugaBlogger would like to believe. I wouldn't be angry to see Chara and the Bruins raise the cup either.

Bruins don't have it 'nuts.
But in 2 yrs with the Leafs #2 pick---maybe!!!!!!!!!!!

Better to be out of the playoffs altogether than be humiliated, eliminated and embarrassed a la Canadiens.
Any Hab fans who weren't embarrassed by their teams poor play and behaviour in the second period last night?
The Montreal organization should be offering refunds and apologies to the suckers who paid good money to see that train wreck. Switched to the Boston and Buffalo game so the night wasn't a total waste.

Leafs' fans only reason for existence = seeing the Habs go down. Pathetic.

Frank, what I think you meant to say was "seeing the Habs go down pathetically".
If that's the case then yes, it is one of our reasons to exist.

You are right - Leafs were making the playoffs and the Habs did suck.

Except for the year we won the cup!!

Kovalev has a torn ALC...out and out...2-3 mths. Or he will miss one more game in 2009-2010.
