Why is it that all the media flakes are jumping on Tiger after his recent admission and apology? In my opinion it was far more detailed and sincere than Letterman's quick, glib, smirking response. Tiger didn't answer questions because he doesn't have the answers at this point. You can bet that any questions the media would have asked would have been designed to trip him up and embarrass him. I think he really put the media on the spot when he revealed how the media had been harassing his family and that's why they are now jumping all over him. It seems that their biggest concern right now is the loss in revenue while Tiger is not part of the pro golf tour. It's all about the money.

Waaa!!! Let me cry into mommies shoulder for the cameras. Waaa! What a phony and a completely insincere speech. Is he for real or is it a robot? To top it off he decides to hold a press conference on the Friday during a weekend PGA event where Accenture is the sponsor. Hmmm, didn’t Accenture drop Tiger after the scandal? Coincidence? I think not, just good old Tiger being Tiger. Ernie Els said it best when he called Tiger and his handlers out on the timing of this and said he was selfish. Good for Ernie for speaking his mind.
And his speech wasn’t an apology but rather a condescending scolding to his fans and colleagues. I don’t know what’s worse, those who defend him or the media who accepted the terms to attend this PR hoax. If there are any journalists with integrity left in the golfing industry, they should have boycotted this ‘press conference’ and demanded he answer questions after his speech. Instead those who accepted his terms, play the lap dog to Tiger hoping that they can get the next exclusive interview if they play up to him and his handlers.

I agree with you Freddie that he is getting poor advice but only to the extent that he should have simply refused to talk about it with anyone anytime. Reporters and media people know what goes on behind closed doors. Tiger's tale wasn't a sudden surprise but a collection of events already known and suddenly reported. Maybe a few knew what Letterman was up to but many knew what Eldrick was doing...maybe even Elin knew? As he wasn't that well liked in press circles , once the bad driving event happened, the flock of seagulls was released. After that, damage control would have needed divine intervention. Bottom line is we want to see him play golf ---only. Not talk to reporters. His press conferences when he won were like watching paint dry. Milton Berle may call him Mr Personality 2. And we may still buy his products again because he didn't kill anyone. Sex therapy---what a joke!!!!!!!

Once understood family unit members are better suited to recognize, respond, and talk to the disease while also encouraging and supporting the spirit of the person they love. It is very critical for family to separate the demon from the individual, and know the difference. In The End, that is the tough struggle that the stricken loved one faces within themselves and as much as we may consider ourselves as victims, they are the ultimate victims of this cruel disease.
