The guys picked are good enough. All 3 goalies are great. Brodeur looked bad on some goals but was bumped on one vs USA. Crosby needed the right mates and maybe Staal, Iggy and him is the right combo. Germany was only a minor test.
Maybe Crosby with big Joe--- the ultimate playmaker? But the die is cast for tonight. Powerful Russian scorers vs US {not USA}. We'll see what's what tonight. Fleury was there for injuries only. Maybe in 4 he'll be the man?

Brodeur, Pronger and Niedemeyer should not have been on this team. They did a lot for Canada in the past where it should stay. We left some really good players off the team.

Youth will HELP get you there, Veterans will lead you there. That is what didn't happen against the USA but I think its a lesson well learned.
At the end of the day, you win and loose together as a team. Not by who Crosby plays with or what goalie is starting. Lets have faith that the people in charge can make this happen
