Look at it this way:
Now Tory will actually get PAID for campaigning on his radio show for the next 4 years. That's basically all he does now, and his profile will only increase in the lead-up to the next election, when he'll probably run. In the meantime, he can take it easier AND criticize daily whoever ends up being the next mayor, who no doubt will be a lefty and screw things royally ala Miller.

John Tory is way to nice too run for political office. I fear that we will end up with another dysfunctional council full of lifers who are just interested at feeding at the public trough.
Perhaps it was the thought of being nothing more than a babysitter for this group of jerkoffs that caused Mr. Tory to not run.
Whatever his reasons were, I think that the city will be worse off without him in the race. Miller has wrecked this city financially and I don't believe that any of the candidates has the skill and accumen to change that.

Tory may be a great leader but he is/was a bad politician. He was either unable or not willing to take down the idiots that he ran against.
McGuinty should have been an easy target and Tory didn't even fire a shot.
He isn't too great of a radio host though. A little too pandering to the public. Of course, that could make him a good mayor but boring to listen to.

I don't get this. A lot of people keep saying how great a leader Tory would have been, but everytime he has been in the position to become one....he has made stupid mistakes. So why would he have been a good leader????

Mikey; disapproval of a certain "lifestyle" is NOT a phobia (as the trendy-lefties try to call it), but rather AN OPINION.
They play in a sewer; no wonder they get sick. That's a FACT. THAT'S what really should instill FEAR in anyone that participates in that 'activity.'
