If You Can't Take It Don't Dish It

November 19, 2009 @ 08:52

PM's Jewish pitch hits a new low, critics say

This story is so pathetic it's almost funny. The Liberals are howlin' over a flyer distributed by the Conservatives, in which allegedly paints them as anti-semitic.

Wow. The Liberals have spent most of the past two decades going out of their way to paint Conservatives as intolerant red neck yahoos - unfounded of course - and now they're squakin' over this?

How fortunate of the Liberals to have a newspaper like the Toronto Star in their back-pockets to defend them at any cost.

*note to Liberals - I know what you're thinking, I defend the Conservatives at any cost, which is not completely fair.
Somebody has to offer some balance and I don't defend the Conservatives unless it makes sense. Reality is, based on most of the shit written in the Star or spouted by blind Liberals, its not hard to make sense.

The Conservatives are red-neck, biggots. The Liberals are anti-semetic. Both claims are ridiculous, but tit for tat. That's the game people want to play, so here it is.

The Conservatives aren't exactly a shining example of ethical purity. Case in point:

http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/todays-paper/Tories+silent+flew+executive+jets/2239175/story.html

Some highlights:

"The Harper government says it is unable to provide the names of passengers who have flown on its fleet of Challenger executive jets since 2006 because it would take longer than a month-and-a-half to assemble the list.

...

During past Liberal governments, DND routinely released the flight manifests with the names of the passengers and details about the origin and destination of each flight.

...

In Opposition, the Tories often denounced what they claimed was excessive use of the jets by Liberal cabinet ministers. Jason Kenney, now minister of citizenship and immigration minister, once chastised the Paul Martin-led Liberals for their use of "flying limousines."

DND did release figures that show that the average cost of feeding passengers has increased sharply since the Tories formed government. It cost taxpayers about $66 for every flying hour to provide food and non-alcoholic beverages to the VIPs aboard the jets in 2005-06, the last full fiscal year under a Liberal government.

But in 2008-09, the food and drink costs jumped to $110 per flying hour."
