Neil Morrison aka Brother Bill from his CFNY / Edge days sent me this e-mail yesterday. Neil does afternoon drive at CFOX in Vancouver and H1N1 has kicked him in the nuts.

Greetings.
As you may know, I have been away for the past week. Last Friday night I arrived home and started feeling, 'pressure' on my chest. I thought I was perhaps coming down with a cold. I couldn't be any further from the truth. By Halloween night I was SICK. Very Sick. For the next three days, it was impossible to get out of bed. Hell, it was impossible to do anything! For two days I lay in bed and struggled to breathe. Very close to going to hospital but thanks to a fantastic new wife...(...in sickness and in health!) managed to keep breathing despite a fever of over 102f. Nurse practitioner Sue diagnosed me with H1N1 on Monday. ( She will be on the show Friday if I'm in ) After another couple days, I managed to walk up and down my stairs more than once without almost passing out. As of today - Thursday November 5 - I can breathe and am 99% better. I hope to be back at work tomorrow but that decision is not up to me.
Let me just say this.
If you are thinking that H1N1 cannot get you... and/or you believe the H1N1 Shot, 'Ain't for you'...you are insane.
Get your shot.
Shame on the people responsible for its production and distribution and shame on those who believe professional sport means more than pregnancy and people who work in the medical fields.

You can take all the vitamins you want... or maybe you've never had the flu before, but as you can see from Neil's experience (and mine) if you get it you get it. All the macho talk and bitching about big corporations means nothing when you're knocked on your ass by Influenza.
The only way to get over it is for your body's immune system to fight it off and build immunity and that is not guaranteed to work. Simply you could just die. The only thing that helps that process is getting innoculated with a flu shot so that you have the antibodies if and when you get exposed to the real thing and give your body a running start at fighting it off.
It is always your option to not use any advantage at your disposal, but then we can get into the whole idea of survival of the fittest. I for one will take any advantage I can get for me and my family. I'll let those that think life doesn't happen to them to become the statistics.

Actually if Neil had got hold of Tamiflu a little earlier, he wouldn’t have suffered as he did. That stuff works for both swine flu and regular flu.

I really don't intend to get off topic here but the following comment is sort of general in characteristics and also far more of a question. somebody master Harvey's best selling book called Fit For Life has changed the way that me and my family eat. Another part that we have been doing and love is the juicing with raw veggies and fruit. I enjoy We feel a whole lot healthier. Actually, i know he has brand new book called living without pain and I can't wait to have my hands on that but what i was wondering about is his endorsement of this vitamin mineral supplement named livethesource. From a few things i have read he has under no circumstances recommended a dietary supplement previously and so my question is so why this one and why now. I know that this possesses newer and more effective patented nano technology however could it be that unique? Has anybody around got any kind of experience with this? I will enjoy a reply, With thanks as well as thanks to you people that work on this blog, you have done a great job and that i for one will be visiting often.
