It's almost law here in Ontario, except for a 3 month (!) "educational period". It's been too long in coming. But I don't think there should be an exemption for police fire and EMS. They're distracted from their driving just as much as anyone else. Probably moreso.

Re the hands-free law: does it include cabbies and tow-truck drivers??? What about truckers and CB users?

I have trouble fiddling with the radio. I can't imagine listening to my wife and driving.
