Ontario deficit balloons to $24.7 billion.

Not surprised Fred calls this out but never tackles our federal government on the massive deficit they have incurred. Once again after stating that Canada was fine and there was no recession. Not surprised at all Fred.

As for the miscalculation on how much the deficit would be, than mister finance guy for Ontario should be fired along with the knuckle heads that were in charge with E-health.

Did you catch Star columnist Joe Fiorito on Oakley's City Confidential panel this morning? In typical TStar fashion, he defended the liberals vigorously for doing the right thing by putting the province into severe deficit. None of his arguments made any sense. Just blind loyalty to the liberals. Pathetic.

You see, Harper can do no wrong because since he's been in Ottawa he's done nothing. I really thought Fred; with you're opinions you be smart enough to have not hitched your wagon to the conservatives. History has shown that Canada's has done better when the Liberal's have been in power. Harper is only there because two dying parties were slapped together to make one useless party. Truth to be told, in Canada, politics as become damned if you do, damned if you don't. And what is the deficit in Ottawa.

@ Mikey - And why should he when Toronto and Ontario basically flip him the bird every chance they get? A city (and province) that consistently bleeds Liberal red despite serious bunglings and financial mismanagement is of absolutely no use to him. Better to invest taxpayer $ in more lucrative voting territory. Toronto wanted Liberals, Ontario wanted Liberals, they can rot in the mess they have created for themselves.

Toronto and Ontario are in the dumps, not becuase their respective governments are inept, but rather the guy you hate is responsible even though he is the least responsible in the equation. Franky & Mikey: The Harper gov't was FORCED by the grits, the separatist traitors, and NDP socialists to rack up the debt in so-called stimulus spending. If Harper told them to F*ck off, (as he should have), those 3 would have forced yet another federal election. Which would have led to a Harper majority. Just like what will happen if Iggy (hasn't lived in Canada for 35 years!) tries to pull another 'vote down the gov't' boner.

Therefore; put the blame on the federal deficit where it belongs... on the separatist, liberal and socialist bum-boys!

Today, is a different story. If Iggy Pop pulls the plug, Harper may very well get a majority government.

Funny how you spin that either way for yourselves. So the debt federally is the liberals fault and the debt provincially is the liberals fault?!?! Wonderful how that must work in your world. So the liberals that don't even have a say in Alberta must be at fault for their 6 billion dollar deficit.
