Balsillie made it interesting for awhile. While we were all cheering for him in Toronto and Hamilton he was in deep water even for a billionaire. It's hard to break into Bettman's 'old boy' network. Money doesn't do it alone.

As a Hamilton boy and contrary to what every Toronto Radio Talk Show is saying, I am not crushed by the judges decision, I am not a pawn in a game of high stakes poker between Balsille and the NHL. I am a hockey fan, plain and simple. I don't believe the hype that we've been force fed by the media over the last few months and the criticism of Hamilton as the A-hole of Ontario.
Sure a team in Hamilton would have been nice, but the sun will surely rise again tomorrow regardless. Toronto will still be the centre of the universe, Argie and Mike from Lowville will still make me laugh with their narrow-minded views of the world and I will still sit down on Saturday nights next fall to watch hockey.
So lets move on to more interesting topics.....OMG... John Tory is considering a run for Mayor of Toronto...
Price of Gas is over a buck...

May be Tory's time to be Mayor of TO. The last businessman to man TO was Mel Lastman and he was good.
Career politicians---ie eggheads like Harper, McGuinty and Miller have become...nah...they ARE more and more apparently boring. And ineffective.

I'm surprised gas was relatively cheap for awhile.
Party's over.

So with oil at $70 a barrel and gas at $1.05, can we expect gas to be $2.10 when oil goes back up to $140?
