Neighbour John In Pittsburgh

June 9, 2009 @ 16:46

Neighbour John is going to give it another crack tonight.

Last year he paid big time to get four tickets to game five of the Stanley Cup final in Detroit so he and his three sons could actually see the Cup being awarded.

Really the only way for a Leaf fan to witness such a thing.

But that's the game Pittsburgh won deep into overtime, forcing a game six in Pittsburgh. John and the boys came away disappointed.

This time John is in Pittsburgh by himself, and this afternoon he grabbed a ticket for $150.00 U.S.

Here's a text message I got from him this afternoon.

"I took a piss beside some Steeler guy with a Superbowl ring, he's bigggggg."

And he sent this picture with the message.

Obviously John didn't have enough balls to take a picture of the Steeler guy while he was having a piss.

Neighbour John is pulling for the Wings tonight. That's when he's not pulling himself of course.

That shot reminds me of Maple Leaf Gardens. A little better than a hole in the wall tavern in Fergus back in the 70's where you actually pissed in a trough, on the floor!

Wow, John has no luck when it comes to this. Might actually be worth going to Detroit on Friday and trying to get tickets for game 7. Sure he'll dish out more money, but he'll definitly see someone get the Cup, and hopefully that's Pittsburg.

I also was lucky enough to go to game 6 in Pittsburgh.
Our tickets were $205.00 USD each, 9 rows behind Osgoode in the 1st and 3rd periods.
It was an electric night of great hockey. We shared seasons with 5 other guys this year and were the lucky winners of game 6 tickets when we drew for play off tix. Some of the best hockey I have seen in years.

As for getting there and coming home, I have to say there is a loop hole in the new passport and Nexus rules.
We showed Customs our Game 6 tickets both going into the U.S. and coming home.
U.S. Customs guy just said he was going to confiscate them... for him!
Going home, I showed Canada Customs my ticket stub and all he said was "Awesome Game dude, come on in"!
We didn't even have to show ID nor were we asked any questions about what we had to declare. The power of Stanley Cup Hockey!

That was an awsome game, did get a little scared after Draper scored though, cause if the Wings would've tied it it could've went either way, most likely would've went to over time too, and I wanted Pittsburg to win it.

Stupid is really as stupid does...this event is really a joke. Lindsay Lohan goes to do illegal drugs only because this woman doesn't "get it"...The existing legal procedure is a joke. Perhaps you should put her in some prison in Cincinnati or some other place in Ohio where you don't have a overcrowding and there's no absurd program that repeatedly helps individuals get away with ****. At any rate if this girl will probably carry on to do harmful drugs she should really be "practical" about it and don't get caught...otherwise, stay with what you're doing Lindsay lohan and we should get rid of you in Afghanistan with the genuinely daring troops which are losing their life every single day to give you your silly so-called "liberty".

Well my friends, Lindsay Lohan is back to her good old ways….Lindsay Lohan admitted to screwing up a court-ordered junk test the other day. She tweeted the next: “This was certainly a setback to me nevertheless I'm taking responsibility for my activities and So i am willing to face the consequences.” Which means, maybe simply putting her in prison for two weeks and rehab for less wasn’t the greatest idea!
