About 2 years ago I e-mailed the Jack and suggested that they get Humble and Fred for their morning show... and if so, they'd have me listening all day. This was when they had some 2 american sounding bozos on in the morning.
I received a tirst reply e-mail stating that the 2 bozos (my words not his) would be around for a very long time.
I think they were gone about 2 months later.
No Humble and Fred... their loss. But who gives a sh!t, both Humble and Fred are doing fine and I listen to talk radio.

I liked the format at Jack somewhat . I don't mind a real mix of styles but, it was too hit oriented.i won't be listening to Kiss any time soon.

I seems that the spot occupied by 92.5 is cursed. No matter what they try...it just doesn't work. So what do they do....top 40 corporate crap.
We had a real opportunity to try something different and innovative in this city, but they just keep playing it safe.

Radio without personalities is just background noise. We all have CD's and MP3's coming out our--you know whats--. Radio for music, was good when we couldn't afford records even. Everyone has downloaded gb's of tunes. Now on the radio we need someone either smart or funny. Or both.

Actually, the first to this style of radio in the Toronto market was Energy. Your bosses at Corus blew that one bigtime.

The switch back to something that hasn't worked doesn't surprise me. I was surprised and pissed off at the reaction I got when I e-mailed them to get H&F on their morning show, so I don't expect smart ideas from that number on the dial.
I guess new country is next. BTW those mugs outlasted the format 10 fold.

Recently, when I was home for a visit, I spent some time spinning through the dial. NOTHING has changed. Same 40 songs, same consultant-led audience sampled crap. It's too bad. We have some great broadcasters, they just aren't allowed to be anything other then a 'bot that doesn't dare step outside of pre-determined formats. I miss many, many things about Toronto - but stagnant radio isn't one of them...
