"We're the source of the game, the players, and the money, and I think we should have a seventh team. I spent five years looking for a front door. We couldn't find a front door. I found a side door."

Wayner May 15, 2009 / 10:50 It's quickly becoming a battle of egos...the only groups that would have legitimate concerns to second team in southern ontario would be the leafs and the sabres...to everyone else its win/win... Pat May 15, 2009 / 18:42 Go Jim !! Give 'em hell. Brenda's Boyfriend from Cambridge May 15, 2009 / 18:50 Ballsy has to prove to Bettman that he can play by the rules. Until then, there's no team. Gary's not going to make himself look like an idiot by actually giving a team to Ballsy. Then having Ballsy turn around and dictate how to best run that team (and probably the NHL) to the point where the NHL makes a boat-load of cash. Because Ballsy's a good enough businessman to show-up Gary at his own game. The rules are that Gary tells you what to do and you do it. Murph May 16, 2009 / 00:45 Hey why is Hamilton getting the team? Are the people and businesses of Hamilton going to support this team or are you going to make Torontonians drive to Hamilton. Put the team in Vaughan or North York, you will have better success than in Copps. Murph May 16, 2009 / 00:46 ACtually how about renovate the Gardens and put the team in there! A.R. May 18, 2009 / 19:52 The Gardens can't be used for professional hockey because of a term of sale which MLSE made. As for Vaughan, isn't that just a pseudo-city that's a collection of subdivisions, strip malls and industrial parks? Who outside of this region could even find it on a map? IanS May 19, 2009 / 10:00 I don't need a map. West of Yonge, north of Steeles.
