Brampton isn't the only city whith this problem, if you want to call it that. Mississauga, especially in the North End and the City Centre, is heading that way rapidly. I have been living on my street for the last 20 years and when I moved in it was considered a multicultural street. We had Italians, Kroatians, Germans, Portuguese, Asians and Chinese. It was indeed a nice mix.
Fast forward 20 years and it is now mostly Indians and Pakistanis who live on the street and in the subdivison for that matter. The problem is that too many of them don't look after their properties and I don't even want to touch on the "multi family in one residence" issue.
It sure isnt' what it used to be and it pisses me off.

It is really unfortunate that the few spoil it for the many. And I mean many in Brampton.
I work with many who have their heritage in India. They are fine people just like those from Italy, Scotland or Kenya. The problem is that when people don't integrate, don't abide by the law, and expect special treatment or status because of their heritage. To these losers I ask that you please leave this fine country and go back to your impoverished, backward, slum of a nation to enjoy and respect all of the rights and privileges accorded to you by the proud and civilized leaders of the land.

We left Brampton 5 years ago.
When I go back to the area I used to live (Chinguacousy and Boivaird), I feel comfy knowing we made the right decision.
Not necessarily because of the ethnicity of the area, but because of the sheer numbers of people that live there with very little green space.
