The Pope Is A Dope

March 17, 2009 @ 19:09

If there's anything as useless as religion itself, it's having somebody who represents a religion running around the world spreading naïve nonsense that only makes things worse.

Take Pope Bendmydict or whatever he's called.

While on his way to Africa, aboard his Pontiff Plane, Mr. Popey spread this wisdom about condoms with the same gusto that many of his disciples use to spread the butt cheeks of young alter boys.

Mr. Brilliance said that condoms are not the answer to the HIV/AIDS pandemic that's ravaging Africa - abstinence is the way to go.

Easy for him to say, Bendmydict only uses his Pope-pecker for taking a Pontiff-pees while tens of millions of Africans suffer from a disease crippling a continent.

Of all the ridiculous things to say in 2009 - how could condoms not help?

How bloody naive to expect millions of Africans to buy into his abstinence dream. Great in theory, impossible in practice.

Meanwhile there's a tangible solution like condoms. Something that could be provided, shown and taught.

Wake up Bendmydict. This is Africa. Outside of hunting, screwing is the only other pastime they can afford.

I'm telling ya, I don't know if its age or intelligence but I sure as hell am losing all patience with goddamn religion and all the nonsense attached to it.

It's frightening that someone as powerful as the Pope gets an audience to spew crap that barely stood up a century ago let alone today.

I'd like to tell the Pope to bite my clank, but he'd probably take me up on it.

Let's see; according to various sources, the aids virus is 10 times SMALLER than the human sperm cell.

Condoms were designed to 'stop' the sperm cell; yet the failure rate of condoms is around 10 percent.

How much higher is the failure rate of condoms to stop the aids virus which is much smaller than a sperm cell? Why don't the atheist 'condom queens' in the media tell us that rate? Perhaps because they want to tear down morality and decency; and impose their own mis-guided 'values' of 'anything goes!'

Condoms... not a solution to trust your life to.

Rather; stop having sex like animals with whatever comes along; and stop buggering each other like pansies on the last Sunday in June in Toronto. No wonder people get sick. Would you stick your body-part in a sewer?!

And; why is Africa a place where people can only 'afford' to hunt and screw? Could it be due to the high number of communist dictators in power, hmmmm?

Abstinence works. If a driver doesn't drink, for example... he won't cause a fatal accident due to being impaired.

Good points about the pope and that scam-business he's running, though. With all the real estate they own, and other a$$ets, they could certainly help the poor, instead of sodomizing altar-boys. Pope Bumma-Dick and his idol-worshiping, (statues of Mary, the saints, etc.), ROMAN Catholic outfit is certainly not Christian.

The Catholic church reminds me of AIG and it's bail out saga. The church has so much in worldly assets, tax free status and they still are looking every Sunday for a bailout.

I can't believe people follow this BS every day of their life, watching the opulence of the church and the poor church goer who can barely afford a roof over their head being asked to pony up more.

His life experiences mean squat to a African society that needs real solutions, not some Ideological BS.

I'm with you Fred these out of touch religious types should draw the drapes and just keep their Pontifications amongst themselves.

March 17, 2009 / 22:18

Fred & 'Cut:

You're so wrong on your criticisms of the Pope and the Church.

I could waste my time on you both but your comments speak for themselves. A complete ignorance of the one true faith in the world. Enjoy your miserable life without without the Catholic church in it.

On a microscopic level; condoms can certainly be as porous as the Montreal Canadiens goalie once known as "Red Light Racicot!"

Check out the failure rate regarding preventing impregnation.

Research the size differential between the hiv virus and the human sperm cell.

The hiv virus is a speck of dust compared to the 18-wheeler size of a sperm cell... and if condoms fail to contain those; how do they fare against hiv?

And; the failure rate is only sure to INCREASE when used by illiterate tribes in Africa.

We do them no good by passing them a death-sentence that makes a politically-correct circular impression in the wallet of a white liberal in the west.

Would YOU trust YOUR life to a micro-thin sheath of rubber while plunging your body-part into strange flesh... flesh which you know nothing about sexual-history-wise?

Much thicker rubber products have failed before... the O-rings that caused the 1986 Space Shuttle disaster, for example.

Condoms are a big 'con' job.

Rather; not sticking it were it shouldn't go, (or into whatever strange flesh comes along), always works.

Argie... can you show me WHERE IN THE BIBLE it says that we have to bow down, kiss the pope's ring; and pray to graven idols of Mary for Salvation?

Nope, I can't find that in Scripture as well.

Seems like the "one true faith" can't read The Bible too well.

See the Ten Commandments re: idol worship, graven images, and having other 'gods' before Him.

Although I agree with the condom opinion they have; I can certainly do without the Roman Catholic pope and his 'church' telling me what to do and how to pray.

Condoms are 10% defective? Really? Find me the official stats on that brainiacs and post the site on here. I beg to differ. Condoms are about as close to 100% effective when used properly as you can get.
Abstinence however as Freddie pointed out is not reality. Its a pipe dream. The only thing more addictive than Heroine and Money may be sex.
You arent going to stop people from having it.

Argie
March 17, 2009 / 23:15

Uppercut: Its your choice to not follow the RC Church.

In your first post you threw all the usual insults at the Pope and his Church. Yes the Church has billions but unlike the other religions of the world, it spends a great amount of time and money in helping the people of Africa deal with rampant famine and AIDS.

I'm guessing you're protestant which is your choice. I now understand your anger as you belong to a religion that is dying by the minute. While you're still on this earth, do yourself a favour and join the one true faith.

Repeat after me:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Buffalo Boy Mike
March 17, 2009 / 23:17

Oh gee don't worry about checking for the stats on Condoms I went ahead and did it myself guys...here is the condom fact sheet:

Freddie, you are dead on and the pope is a dope on a rope.

Argie
March 18, 2009 / 10:12

My understanding of the Pope's message was 'using condoms is not the solution to the spreading of AIDS'. How can you argue with that?

Ultimately the best solution or method of not getting AIDS is abstinence - plain and simple.

If I lived in a society where half of the people had AIDS (but I didn't know which ones did), I don't think I would be taking my chances with a condom. When I consider my priorities (being free of AIDS or gettin' some) I'm going to choose the former. Call me crazy but that's just me!

The importance of the Pope's message is minimal anyway when you consider Catholics are still a minority in Africa. However it doesn't stop uneducated people like Fred and a few others from bashing the Pope and the Church. Next time, consider the facts.

"The Pope is just following long established church doctrine." oh well that makes everything Ok ten. After "weve always done it this way" is a perfectly accetable attitude anywhere no matter the situation right?

Pauly Walnuts
March 18, 2009 / 15:28

Wow brilliant Fred, and I'm sure in Africa they can just scoot over to the local Shopper's drug mart and pick up a box. You can't get people in this country to use condoms, but the 3rd world africa is going to do a much better job?

What the Pope says makes sense. He won't say it as simple as I will. Don't stick your D!ck where it doesn't belong. If you go around sticking it in everything that moves, well chances are... and thats not exclusice to Africa either.

I'd like to see how much you and the other posters here would trust a condom if you knew the other person had a good chance of having HIV. I wonder if there wouldn't be an urge to "obstain" a bit.

And now to the Catholic Church's point of view on the whole sex thing... if you only have sex with your wife and she with you... how can you get AIDS? Seems pretty straightforward and simple to me. Granted, in practice its not so easy, but hey at that point you're on your own... go treck across the savanna looking for a Shoppers.

March 18, 2009 / 18:44

Hey everyone, this just in, people like to f*ck and are not going to listen to someone who never got laid in their life. Abstinence is not an option. The church should put their money where their mouth is and buy condoms for the entire world. Go for the gold and get the flavoured ones.

The facts about life expectancy in Africa are as follows: Angola 38 years, Botswana 50 years, Burundi 52 years, Cameroon 53 years, Chad 47 years, Congo 54 years, Ethiopia 55 years, Gabon 53 years, Kenya 56 years, Liberia 41 years, Mozambique 41 years, Namibia 50 years, Nigeria 46 years, Rwanda 49 years, Swaziland 39 years, Uganda 52 years, Zambia 39 years and Zimbabwe 44 years. These numbers are facts. These countries represent over a hundred million people.

For reference Canada is 82 years average life expectancy.

If any of you are thinking of emigrating to an African country, I would avoid Swaziland with 32 years average and suggest you select Kenya all the way up at 56 years life expectancy.

Wow, most of us would be dead now if we lived in Africa.

Maybe the Pope and his stone-age condom thinking is trying to reduce the average life expectancy of Africans even further because he doesn't like them. Not Catholic enough maybe.

Pauly Walnuts
March 20, 2009 / 16:47

Wow what hatred towards the Pope. Someone explain to med how the Pope is keeping condoms out of Africa? He is only answering what he believes is the answer.

The simple fact is that he says that abstinance is the answer not condoms. So am I understanding all the people that are bitching againts the Pope that they are basically saying that the Pope and the Catholic Church are preventing condoms from entering the continent? If not, then why aren't all these Africans using those magical Condoms you guys say are the answer to the problem? Seems pretty simple to me.

Its amazing how religion and hatred can make otherwise intelligent people speak utter nonsense.

As for the Catholic Church, the teachings is the same in Africa as in the rest of the world. There is no asterisk in Catholic Doctrine for Africa. And to simply everythign for those that are having trouble getting their heads around it, if people were not sleeping around and not committing adultery, HIV and AIDS in Africa would not be so prevalent.

You're not Catholic, and you think its a load of crap? Why do you care?

Argie

I always read the content on weblogs in advance of when I leave a review. If I have got practically nothing to say of the article topic, I might not leave any wisecracks. And I enjoy to read anyone else’s evaluations on that post also. Because I could find insightful ideas through the sound comments. I would have posted “Magnificent blog! Marvelous posts!” then I would be spamming your blog. I also make use of a web log, the first thing I will do every single day after i signed up on my weblog is go look at reviews to my stuff and physically approve or reject these opinions. Keywordluv as well as brings you more commenters. It promotes your position in search engines due to you’re not simply on immeasurable “dofollow blog lists” but in addition on a variety of those “keywordluv lists”. Thank you, Hannah
