Well, obviously you didn't watch the game. The Habs played very well. They'll make the playoffs and could upset if they get it together. It's funny how the leafs are playing soooo much better than the Habs and they couldn't beat Buffalo or Boston. Freeway, I believe you're missing the point. NOBODY ever expected the Leafs to make anything this year. They've surprised to a degree. But all you Habs fans were calling for a Cup parade down St Catherine's Street. Just squeeking into the playoffs is nothing to be proud of. Especially when you are constantly comparing the Habs to the Leafs. How you can consider this season anything but disappointing for Montreal is the real question.

I don't think Habs fans compared the team to the Leafs cause it was like comparing Detroit to Phoenix. At least at the start of the season.
No Cup dreams or parades just a sense of higher hopes that most teams...and it has been a letdown as compared to the leafs who have done what the fans figured they would....and less.
Of course it's been disappointing in Montreal...even more than that. The Habs have played like the Denis Dupere-Stew Gavin- Greg Terrion leafs...no passion at all...well not that bad....but close. But scraping along the past few months does bring up Leaf comparisons.
I hope Leaf players don't have mob people after them like Montreal did.

You have it in for mentioning everything negative about Montreal. Montreal is one of the best cities in the world and I've travelled to many a place. As a Montrealer who has lived in Toronto, Vancouver and now Calgary, I understand how geography divides people in this country. You'll never understand a people until you live there. Toronto is the most hated city in Canada (trust me). I have to keep defending it. T.O is a great place with good people. Again, I didn't understand this until I lived there for 7 years. You can't talk until you live somewhere. Most Canadians no SHIT about any city outside their own. Outside the Leafs whom I truly can't stand, I love TORONTO. It's easy to pick on a city for their political views, language or culture. At the end of the day, we're all Canadian, some less IGNORANT than others.

I've never lived in Montreal but I visit regularly. It is a GREAT town. I have lived in Toronto (grew up there). And for all my "rose-coloured" memories, I would NEVER live in Toronto again. I still have family there, and I visit, but I'd never move there.
I've been straight across this country and, yes, I know that Toronto is hated throughout the land. It's not called Hog Town for nothing. Every city has it's bright spots and draw-backs. There are some especially nice places in Canada and throughout the world. But I'll always be a Leaf fan.
