Could it be possible that the Leafs top management promise of a Stanley Cup by 2020 may actually happen???

I suspect Burke will keep Hagman and Grabowski...talented and fast and haven't reached their potential, and maybe BIG Kubina.
Most marketable player is Kaberle. I'd imagine there's some regret about not getting big Jeff Carter who is scoring left and right so far this season.
The goaltender of the future and the past may be gone.
Ponikaroski has never reached what seemed to large potential...he could somewhere else of course.
Big Nick.hmmmm. Could be a Phil Espo or Pete Mahovlich?...not quite but he plays tough.
As for so called bigotry-strong word for hockey---hahaha...his key men in Vancouver were Swedes and while the Quacks had few Euopeans the super scoring Finn was a key man.
There will be movement and not just from the over priced ACC food.
And as for Burke not building a winner from the ground up who has?
When Boston became a top team with Orr and Espo who suspected that Don Awry and Dallas Smith would become stars. Don Cherry would of course as he knows all things hockey.

I just hope he can convince Mats Sundin to come back.
November 27, 2008 / 13:41
"I just hope he can convince Mats Sundin to come back" is exactly what we don't need. I for one can't take anymore of Fred's anti Sudin rants. Even though we ahree 100% the responses are too retarded.
November 27, 2008 / 14:00
He did meet with Sundin a few weeks ago - the thought in YVR was that he was trying to get him for the Ducks to "duck" the Canucks, but maybe he was getting him to go to TO with him.
I hope so....we don't want him here.

Good riddens to Antropov and Alexi the sooner they go the better. And just to piss off Fred, bring on Mats our true Captain the sooner the better.

Goto to http://www.torontomike.com/ and you will see the real story about Sundins return.

Here's the direct link to the story that should score me my first Pulitzer.

Oh ya...he named the softer than Sundin: Marcus Naslund captain of the Canucks and worked very hard to draft the Sedin twins....he's not that racist Fred.

Keep on hopin' ..........
Might be a good strategy though an all Canadian team.
I hope you'll see at least one more Stanley Cup in your lifetime Mr. P.
Think of the poor Montreal fans 15 years with no cup. A boat the leaf nation would love to be in.

All young Canadian hockey players dream of winning the Stanley Cup...growing up in Europe hockey players grow up dreaming of a Olympic Gold or a World Championship. A stanley Cup doesnt burn inside most European hockey players. Fit your top line with the most talented players you can find, and then fill your next three lines with players who have a desire to win burning in theri bellies.
Formula for success!

Burke likes Mats!
Mats likes Burke!
Guess What?
November 28, 2008 / 19:12
Burke is a good judge of horseflesh , and Mats is a stud compared to the heaved geldings that previous GMs drafted or signed .......

Erecting a Mosque at Ground Zero has to really be the ignoramus plan during the history of humankind, I very seriously think that it's intentionally specifically designed, at best, to insight controversy. I'm not much a conspiracy theorist nonetheless it's either shameful or wicked, very likely both. velma

In contrast to the usual portfolio of iconic coach, we can hardly say that when this new pouch KIRA under the brand name or not. After careful examination of the Excellent Replica Handbags , we can say that this bag a bag bus, which is typical for the design and functionality. This modern and stylish case is available in three colors, brown, green and blue. Personally I like the blue much more to add to an atmosphere of peace in the world loud and chaotic. It is somewhere to come back for you, mentally.
