November 27, 2008 @ 16:20 I rest my case. Do you think for one second that Darryl, Dougie or Wendel would do this? Category: Sports 49 Responses to "Comments We Like - Toronto Mike"Jake November 27, 2008 / 17:00 DDM were all on ACC payroll after they turned orange and fell from the tree. Mary November 27, 2008 / 17:19 Good Riddance!!!!! Ball November 27, 2008 / 18:03 Maybe Sundin was referring to Mayor Miller and what he has done to the city? Max November 27, 2008 / 19:48 Ha ha ha! Would Dougie would do this? Freddie, do you remember how Gilmour left the Leafs, or has reality been completely purged from your idyllic Leaf fantasy world? If I told you that several years ago in Kingston, I saw Dougie and Kirk Muller in a lineup for the Pita Pit after the bars closed down and Dougie had "less than gracious" things to say about the Leafs, are you going to give my story the same credence as you do this guy's? A.R. November 27, 2008 / 20:19 Or maybe he was referring to what Mike Harris did to the city by cutting funding to the TTC and downloading services, forcing us to simultaneously cut funding for various city services and raise taxes. Besides, he'd be exaggerating. Irvine November 27, 2008 / 21:17 What puzzles me is this !. How come Fred never picks on Harper? During the campaign he belittled his opponents for any talk of deficit. Now he talks of one. Harper said the economy was fine "it was a good time to buy stocks" now..well, I hope you didn't take his advice Had a Liberal did this, Fred would be all over them. But he's a Harper kiss ass & blind to the system. No mention of Harper's "flip flop" in the annals of Canadian Thinker Of course..is anyone surprised ?
Pauly Walnuts November 27, 2008 / 22:36 Wow, still with the Mike Harris eh? Hey why not Sir George William Ross what a bag of dirt that guy was. We're still realling from him over a hundred years and counting... bastard. As for Mats... good player... better if he was somewhere else. Time for everyone to move on Jarvis November 28, 2008 / 00:46
Reminds me of the time I ran into Eddie Shack a few weeks ago in a coffee shop. He peed himself. Kram November 28, 2008 / 05:02 Naturally Mats would be a little peeved to see two of his former teamates moved for a player that nodoby knows anything about. How many Leaf fans knew what a Lee Stempniak was prior to this trade? Be honest. BTW..Mats is right. It's going to get really ugly at the ACC. That's the price you have to pay to get a shot at the #1 pick. If given the chance, will Burke draft Tavares or Hedman? I know Leaf fans, you'll have to look Hedman up. Gene November 28, 2008 / 08:52 Hey Irvine, what the "f" are you talking about? Big A from Burlington November 28, 2008 / 09:12 Toronto is going to shit. It's not just Sundin... no one wants to play on this team, for this messed up organization.. just look at their track record of attracting big name free agents over the last few years. Pat November 28, 2008 / 09:36 If it's on the internet, it must be true. LOL. Andrew November 28, 2008 / 09:47 Gene: Way off topic but Irvine's point is this: " you don’t want.. tax increases and a deficit and recession, the only way to ensure that is the case is to vote for the Conservative party.” Irvine is asking why Fred doesn't bring this up. He is not blaming Harper for causing the economic crisis, he is asking why he said everything was fine. Gene November 28, 2008 / 10:13 Because everything was fine at the time. "Speyside Phil" November 28, 2008 / 10:18 When is Stempniak going to play his first game as a Leaf??? JR November 28, 2008 / 10:20 NOT Sundin! POOPYPANTS November 28, 2008 / 10:27 What are you & Mike smokin? Doug November 28, 2008 / 10:29 Fred,,you're losing credibility mt friend throwing stories like this out there.. Further, you've been very silent about the auto industry..perhaps because you are in Peteborough which I understand is a community with a large auto worker population?? Andrew November 28, 2008 / 10:29 The economy was fine 6 weeks ago? Everyone saw this coming. Now you're just being obtuse. A.R. November 28, 2008 / 12:04 It had to have been a comment on the team. After all, in the past several years, quite a lot of progress has been made in the city, despite some of the ongoing problems. So many neighbourhoods are being revitalized which had commercial strips of abandoned storefronts and empty land. It's slow, but neighbourhoods like Leslieville and the Junction seem to be doing better than they have in decades, for instance. We've actually begun construction on numerous waterfront projects under Miller. Mats must have been talking about the team if he said that at all. His own neighbourhood in Forest Hill saw the reconstruction of St. Clair, which is still ongoing, but largely completed where he would see it. It's definitely an improvement over what was there previously. Poutine November 28, 2008 / 12:14 Who really gives a hoot outside Trawana what Mats said. Only the loosers in Trawana seem to be concerned about their lack of identity, self esteem and worth that they will jump all over what one of their greatest who ever wore the leaf jersey alledgedly said(the truth).Rock on Mats..... Mike from Lowville November 28, 2008 / 12:21 Harpers days are numbered if he doesn't put a gag in that idiot Flaherty's mouth! Coalition coming soon people! dave November 28, 2008 / 12:36 Agree with Flaherty, get rid of the free lunch $1.95 per vote. Ed November 28, 2008 / 13:27 $1.95 was Chretien's idea? Joe November 28, 2008 / 13:30 I don't think the Bloc wants separation. Just more and more of the Canadian pie. Pauly Walnuts November 28, 2008 / 14:24 Hey Mike, Coalition with separatists eh? Only the Liberals whould be desperate for such a thing, and only blind Liberal supporters whould publically acknowledge it. Wow, a new low, even for Lowville. Pam November 28, 2008 / 15:34 C'mon guys - hasn't the Sundin argument gone on long enough? Anonymous November 28, 2008 / 16:01 Hey Pauly, How do you think Brian Muldoon was elected PM back in the 80's? He deliberately courted the separatist vote. Half of his Quebec caucus jumped ship and joined the traitors (BQ) including his most trusted Lt. - former Conservative MP Lucien Bouchard! dave November 28, 2008 / 17:05 How do you think the Liberals had so much campaign money over the years? See the Gomery Report sammi November 28, 2008 / 17:34 I thought this was a Sundin thread. Trish November 28, 2008 / 18:21 Find VegasGeoff a house on Wisteria Lane. He really is sounding like a desperate housewife. Maybe Sundin said exactly what he knew VegasGeoff wanted him to say. Maybe he's just creating a little mischief. You guys sound like a bunch of girls - it really is a silly thing to argue about. When Sundin's banner ascends to the rafters of the ACC 30 years from now, he will be there to watch with tears in his cold, Swedish eyes. You can bet on that. Irvine November 29, 2008 / 13:55 Gene: You don't pay much attention to economics, do you? The USA has been flirting with recession for months, not weeks. Lehman Bros went Chap 11 in mid Sept..which really "started" all of this. That was more than 6 weeks ago As for me being a Liberal? So I guess a guy like me complaining that Harper spends like a socialist makes me Liberal? Harper is just a Liberal in sheeps clothing and you, Patterson and the rest of them just follow along because you can't seem to think for yourself. Doesn't surprise me tho..given the "need" for people from some provinces to have the government help them with everything. Free the west. Vote for the Republic of Alberta ! organ November 29, 2008 / 15:58 Since the end of WW2 The USA has been running a compounded defecit each year larger than the year before. No wonder the world is in the shape it is in. Kinda ironic that that they owe China (evil commie country) the most, followed by middle east oil countries.Next thing they will be borrowing fron Venezuela and Cuba. Perhaps Maple Leaf Entertainment cud loan them a few $$$$, saying that i suppose The Teachers have already have.. Toronto Mike November 29, 2008 / 16:40 Presenting the entry about the entry about the entry. http://www.torontomike.com/2008/11/comments_king.html Pauly Walnuts November 30, 2008 / 08:26 Anonymous, what makes you think that I think Mulroney was any better? He's the reason the Bloc exists. Loanman December 23, 2009 / 06:47 Hi, maybe this post could be off topic but anyhow, I've gone surfing around your blog and it appears really awesome.
