Since I moved to the Toronto area 20 plus years ago all I've heard from Leaf fans is that 19XX, 200x is the year the Cup is coming back to Toronto and how the habs suck.
True hockeys most successful club , The Montreal Canadiens, aren't the team they once were.
In those 20 plus years I've proudly called Ontario home The Canadiens have won 2 Stanley Cups and Leafs sadly have none.
The Canadiens performance over the last 20 years any Leaf fan would have loved to have thier team mimic.
I would love to see the Leafs bring one home for the fans in the GTA.

FreddieP - if you look back to your posts from last season(for example - May 1st 2008); you claimed that the Habs would not even make the Playoffs this year.
My how things change.
I love ya when it comes to your views on politics, world news, etc... but you continue to loose credibility when you talk about hockey.
You are clearly a Maple Leafs fan -- not a hockey fan. Nothing wrong with that (in fact, it is nice that you are so supportive of your team); but at least be honest that you are not able to look at the hockey universe without your Blue tinted glasses.
Making silly predictions like this that can / will come back to haunt you.

Jason, I think you hit the ol' nail on the head. There are NO hockey fans in Toronto, just Leaf fans.
It's just sad they cannot see the light.

Sorry Fred I have been a Leaf fan since I came here in 1976, and I was at the game Saturday. The Habs gave the Leafs a good pouding and their power play looks awesome. You see the game the same way you see politics. You can only see one side-Blue!! Poor Freddie.
