Meanwhile...

September 9, 2008 @ 07:01

I know of lot of you will come here to get my impression of the upcoming federal election, but so far I haven't been able to generate enough energy to convey how I really feel.

Let me put it this way. How anybody in this country could put an "X" beside the name of a Liberal is beyond me.

They've done nothing to prove they've changed and they offer very little compared to the Conservatives who've done a commendable job of governing this country through the past two and a half years.

Elections are won and lost in Ontario, and there's nothing to indicate that this no-mind province has shaken its blind Liberal love. It means the best we can hope for is another Conservative minority, but at the end of the day, what will that prove?

Hopefully the people of Quebec will have enough brains to shun the Bloc and throw their support behind the Conservatives.

It's the only way to counter-balance the idiocy of Ontario.

Why in the 'ell would Quebec'ers vote Conservative when all that's good in that Province was achieved under Bloc and Liberal rule. The rest of Canada should look at Quebec as an example. Denmark and Sweden are other fine examples of good government.

Answer me a question?
How is it that the Bloc is even allowed to be a federal party?
They are a provicail party.
They do not represent me nor do they represent the majority.
So nothing ever good came from the Bloc,
And im still waiting to see what good has come from the Liberals.
When will Ontario wake up ans smell the same ole Liberal Bull S**T

Liberals don't own a patent on bullshit, its everywhere.

But in a nutshell...

If the Conservative Party, (merged from the Reform Party and the Progressive Conservatives), cared about getting Ontario votes, they would not have elected the leader of the Reform Party, Stephen Harper, to lead the current party. So they won't get our votes. Are you surprised?

Six words: Immigration, abortion, gay rights, universality, capital punishment. As leader of the Reform Party, these were the issues that defined Harper. What hidden agenda? It's his history. It's all there. Or is Harper just a flip-flopper?

I am entitled to NOT to vote for Harper and can vote for whoever I want.

If the Conservatives got a new leader, and depending on the alternatives and the current environment, maybe there could be more movement in Ontario...

But I don't see that soon.

Thanks

Jean Chareste has that rare policical quality of being a good orator and listener. Not seen in too many blogs I've noticed either.
So Que is well managed.
I don't know what the block brings to Que. Seats?
If Que separated from Canada they'd all be out of jobs.
Liberals have had that Que power base for how long?
Trudeau in his first job. Mulroney. Chretien. Martin.
The power to persuade people [food bank guy comes to mind] to bow out and allow Dion to head the party over the intelligent smooth Ignatief.
look at the relationships of Trudeau and Chretien to their successors. Common link...Iggy, Martin, Turner?

This election, like all elections, comes down to which is the lesser evil. And there is no way I could support Dion.

After this election, Mr. Dion will likely take his rightful place as a back-bencher. The joke of his "leadership" has gone on far too long.

Anonymous: If you look at Harper's speeches dating back as far as the founding convention of the Reform Party in the late 80's, you'll see that he has always maintained that social issues (abortion, capital punishment, etc) are outside of the realm of the Party, and are for individual members to vote their conscious on.

But NOW that he is the BOSS... you do as I say and not as I do totalitarianism takes precedent. That's not how you lead a government. Maybe a platoon in Afghanistan but, NOT as Prime Minister!!!! Goodbye Steve....nice try Mister nice guy image......yeah right!!! Hitler in disguise!

Lowville... the looney left should lose the typical whine when confronted by common sense from the right; that is, invoking comparisons to Hitler.

That only shows the left has no argument... 'left!'

(And; nut-bar moustache was a SOCIALIST, by the way... National Socialist Party).

Harper is no where near Adolph, despite what the trendy-left media try to spew out.
---------
Punishment that fits the crime, (or as limp-left liberals whine... the 'death penalty'), along with legalized offspring-killing, ('abortion' as liberals call it), should be on the public agenda. A true free vote on those issues would shock the looney left!
-----------
To borrow a line or two from the Allan Parsons Project "Eye In The Sky..." here's a good theme song for Stiffie Dion and their 'we'll screw-you crew...'

"Preaching green pie-in-the-sky; our green shaft will rob you blind!

We are a bunch of fools, and what's in your wallet, is mine..."

I'm a green-shaft liberal... and I'll rob you blind...!"
============
Maybe that would qualify as Can-Con on liberal-friendly radio stations...

If this "Right Uppercut" person every had anything of value to say I would be shocked.

Filling your posts with silly names and juvenile comments takes away from point of your argument. You may have good points but they all sound stupid in the manner that you post them.
