Thanks For Nothing

July 2, 2008 @ 09:01

I’d like to thank the asshole or asshole’s who couldn’t go to a house party in Brampton on Monday night without taking a gun.

You’ve made even more people feel a little shittier about where they live.

The mentality really blows me away.

Can you imagine being invited to a barbeque at somebody’s house and part of your preparation is packing a gun? Who are these mental midgets?

One hundred people show up to a party, presumably to have a fun time and some good food, but somebody ends up dead in the backyard from a bullet wound to the head.

What kind of a world do you live in that this is the consequence for a dispute. That you pull a gun amongst a crowd of innocent people and fire away with no conscience.

It happens too often and it really isn’t fair.

It isn’t fair to those are law abiding citizens, it isn’t fair to other people who live on the street and shouldn’t have to worry about bullets flying through their neighborhood, and it isn’t fair to the majority of a certain culture who aren’t responsible for this crap.

And there’s other fallout.

How could you blame anyone for being intimidated by certain gatherings on their street, given the frequency of these shootings?

as soon as i heard that story Freddie i thought about you, and how pissed you'd be.

you're right that it unfairly paints a larger community with a wide brush, both ethnically and geographically.

i went to high school in scarborough and when i later moved downtown for university, i was amazed at how negative the east end was perceived..most people that i met thought scarborough was a warzone..and this was the early 90's. There are some very nice upper middle class areas of scarborough, and only a few specific areas that are to be avoided. And even in Malvern, there are streets and places that are absolutely quiet and peaceful and trouble free. I know because that's where i used to live. Amazingly though, you take a 5 minute drive from the ok spots and you can find yourself on the wrong side of the tracks awful fast. But, there are certain parts of Scarborough that were absolutely fine 30 years ago, but today they've become ghetto like, sadly.

Fred this house had a track record with Police. It was just a matter of time.

Wonder how many from that 'certain ethnic community' who were at that shooting-gallery excuse for a party are in the country LEGALLY...?

Illegally in-country... gun crime... instant deportation... no appeal.

I now understand why black people carry guns...
It's a part of the new so called "ghetto culture" that they have.

You see this culture everyday on those stupid rap videos that muchmusic always plays....i think that if you want to get rid of some or most if not all the gun crimes in your communities, then you get rid of the violence-influencing rap videos on that stupid and mindless muchmusic station.

I hear ya, Mike D!

Rap videos which are simply mini-movies promoting violence; certainly encourage 'homies' to have no further ambition other than being 'known to police' and having a 'street name.'

I hope someday that the parents of these kids instill some good old values that have been passed to 99% of the community. I use the example of the white youth who was fatally stabbed when he tried to send some party crashers packing from his parents Bayview avenue home. I personally know a homicide officer who worked this case and within minutes of the incident parents of kids who had been at the party where calling the police with the name of the stabber. These parents values would not let this go unpunished even with so called peer pressure to not rat out another youth. Their kids knew the right thing to do.

Maybe Obama can be an inspiration to black youth that not being a knuckle dragging gangsta can also be your destiny.

Good God... Barack "Train-Wreck" Obama is certainly NOT a good example to kids of any race.

Why is it a surprise to anyone that this lowsy president of ours would support the building of a structure of death. Obama has done absolutely nothing for this country except make it worse. He is just another BS’er politician
