Coca-Cola Rewards Leaf Fans
The Toronto Maple Leafs would like their fans to believe its a gift from the hockey team, but in reality its a gift from Coca-Cola and a way for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment to make another three hundred thousand dollars.
Coca-Cola will pay for all the tickets to this "extra" pre-season game, but MLSE will keep all the concession money.
An attempt to look good, is nothing more than a way for the Leafs to make another three hundred thousand through the back door.

MLSE now moves to the shyster hall of fame... they're now on Coke to cover the cost of a 'free' game.
MLSE will slurp up all the concession profits... and we know how much a small Coke costs at the ACC. And they know it too, hoping to pack the place with thirsty youngsters, and parents who will fork out the $ for an overpriced drink based on sugar-water.
Yep; another 300K for MLSE... through the back door.
MLSE has been giving it to fans right UP the back-door for quite some time.
It's time for fans to clench the butt-cheeks and slam on a sign saying 'Exit only!'
Dose MLSE really think that we don't realize that Coke is paying for this whole thing? Not to mention they get concession profits? If yesterday was supposed to be about the fans, MLSE should have done something about the price of tickets. Make them affordable for REAL Leaf fans, not suits. And not just one-time, ALWAYS make it affordable!
There's one thing they forgot to bring from Maple Leaf Gardens to the A.C.C. : SPIRT. ALL the good seats are filled with suits and clients. They are not fans, they're zombies. The real fans, the ones who truly cheer for the Leafs are up in the nosebleed seats! WHY?! We've been denied far too long to not know how things are being run upstairs. Smarten up MLSE, or the TRUE fans will stop going to the games, and you'll be left with an arena full of the living dead. And that will eventually equal : no ca$h.
arena full of living dead.. actually that wouldnt hurt mlse's feelings would it....
imagine being able to get rid of those people in the nosebleed seats so they can charge more for the living dead. because the living dead dont expect results....
and of course the real fans will be at home, pushing up ratings, earning more for rights and eventually paying for more and more games that will only be on leafs TV
of course if someone on the teachers pension plan board figures out that the money made in the play offs is mostly for the owners...... things may change
Who really cares about the Leafs anyway? Canadian's have this stereotype of American's believing they are the most important part of the free world. Leaf fans are the same.
Most people outside South Ontario really don't give a shit about the Leafs. The team sucks, it has for years & the fans line up like idiots to continue supporting it.
If you don't like something, stop supporting it. That's how the FREE MARKET works. Typical Ontario whiners can't get over themselves.

Hey Irvine! We support them because they're the local team. There's a certain feel about catching a game, especially a Saturday night. The Cubs are the same and so were The Red Sox up to recent times. We're okay with it (there's always next year) so if you don't like them, we don't care. And outside of southern Ontario, rumour has it that the Leafs smuggle in recordings of Leafs fans to EVERY Canadian and a few American NHL rinks, sometimes drowning out the home teams. Bastards, eh?
If Coke wants to do some promo with the Leafs, who cares? Is it going to ruin your day?
