Good God; Fontaine makes the inner-city welfare cases look like mere pikers when it comes to demanding hand-outs.

The ill-advised apology didn't just open a door... it knocked down the dam holding back those damn demands for my money.

A law should be passed right now stating... "No one is no longer responsible for any and all of the actions of their ancestors."

That would put an end to this apology-fest.

ROTFLMFAO.....do that, then no parent is responsible for their child's actions. That would be a great world.

Unfortunately Mr. Fontain knows a good scam when he see one. He has been playing this poor me card for as long as I can remember. Maybe the Provincial and Federal govt. should take a page from Clarence Loui of the Osoyoos band in BC. He sort of went on a rant aka Bill Cosby style and basically said that the free ride is over and the Indians should have some self respect and quit blaming everyone for their problems, get a job and become a productive member of both the Native society and Canadian society. Read it on line,, good read Steve

Yes; a law should be passed right now stating... "No one shall be held responsible for any and all of the actions of their ANCESTORS."

The key word there, Mr. Mike from Lowville; is ancestors... as in parents, grandparents, etc. Not offspring.

Parents should be held to a certain degree of accountability regarding their kids; but NO ONE should be responsible nor placed in a position of debt, apology, etc., by any of their FOREBEARS. Kids are not held accountable for the actions of their parents, after all.

Therefore; what happened x number of years ago... isn't my problem nor my responsibility.

Thus concludes the lesson in temporal reality.

You have to agree with that. There aren’t enough courts in the world to accommodate the millions of lawsuits that would be filed if anyone could sue a country for reparations. How about the Irish suing the Brits? Africans suing the Brits, the US, Portuguese, the Spaniards, etc …..

It would never end. Time for the Indians to move on and start earning a living.
