Passing The Buck - Again

May 21, 2008 @ 14:47

Parenting continues to be ignored in the ongoing search for what's "wrong" with Toronto's public schools.

A lot of time an money is spent on identifying every problem known to man, every problem that is, except parenting.

The Toronto School Board will spend four million dollars on a new program designed to battle racism, sexism and violence.

It's part of a one thousand page report that was commissioned after the Jordan Manners murder, but it offers precious little on the root problem of bad behaviour in Canadian schools....... Bad parenting.

Make parents criminally responsible in part for the crimes of their children. A child under the age of 18 cannot sign a contract but a parent can co-sign. In the same way if a child commits a crime they should be sentenced appropriately, and along with the child the parent should be sentenced accordingly to take responsiblity for their childs crime. Once these self-centered parents realize they are responsble for thier little misfits, they'd instantly take an interest in how their child behaves and is raised and not blame it on the state.

If my son grew up knowing that Dad would spend time in the klink with him if he did somethign illegal, he'd think thrice knowing he'd spend an extended period of time locked up with his old man...

How do you fix bad parenting?

Spend 4 million dollars on educating people in the fine art of not having children until they are emotionally ready to have them.

It is bad parenting, there should be parenting classes so parents can learn how to teach their children. there is no backup or consistency when children get home from school. Parents need to continue what the children have done in school and promote those same ideals.

How can we expect a culture(black mostly jamaican) that glorifies "baby mommas" drugs guns and crime?, to actually have the time to indulge in responsible parenting. First no daddy,(he is long gone by the time she starts to show), baby momma is educated by her momma, gramma, who has done the same thing over and over. You see the blacks do not worry about working or furthering education or skills, nope their role model is the dealer/gangster hangin on the corner with the bling the gat, and the bitches hangin on him! Oh and dont forget the open hostility to whitey, yeah the welfare didnt give her extra for more bling or a new cell phone or new clothes. The blacks are a blight on our society and they let their spawn run wild but they blame whitey for their childs proclivity for guns drugs thugs and a short violent life, yeah its your and my fault we are to blame for littyle jrdan manners was shot by his own friends in a school with a rep for thugs running the halls, young muslim ghirls are raped by a group of black boys and she is threatened by both the rapist scum and their black friends, but the schooldid nothing get this (mostly black teachers and staff who threatened the girl if she called the cops. Yes sir its is you and me that are at fault. God I miss the canada I grew up in the multiculturalistic bull and the wide open unskilled immigration that has us on the brink of a chasm
