Liberal vs Liberal
CanadianThinker also agrees with the Ontario Premier when it comes to his opposition to the proposed carbon tax by federal Liberal leader Stephane Dion.
You have to wonder who’s running the show for Dion.
The carbon tax idea is silly and unrealistic, but he’s pushing forward with it and plans to make it the basis of his campaign for the next election.
Thank goodness Dalton McGuinty is following in the footsteps of the Prime Minister by bringing some sense and rationale to the issue. McGuinty realizes that Canadians are already stretched to the limit and imposing a carbon tax will only make the situation worse while damaging the economy.
It’s a bold move when you consider McGuinty is a liberal. But it tells you how flakey and misguided Dion is.
We’d love to sit in a Liberal strategy meeting and just take it all in. Sit there and listen to Dion as he insists this is the way to go even though is approval rating is heading towards zero and Canadians overwhelmingly don’t want a goddamn carbon tax.
There’s no explaining it.

I think it's more McGuinty being politically sensible. Too much of Ontario lives in some uninspiring suburban area, so this would never work.
