Thanks for taking the time to leave a message on the website about my dad.

It’s really been great therapy. Especially for Junie who’s thrilled that so many “young” people acknowledged Dickie, and especially proud that so many people who knew him had such wonderful things to say about him.

I’ve had several people ask me how they can send Junie a note directly. All you have to do is hit the “contact me” button on this website and I’ll make sure she gets it.

Among the things I’ve been doing over the past few days is going through some pictures, and it’s funny, one of my favourites is this one.

You can’t even tell it’s my dad and my son Danny in the boat, but it epitomizes so much about him.

A lake, a fishing rod and doing something for one of his grand kids. Dickie also bought me the flag pole and Canadian flag.

Hi Fred

I'm a long time listener (when you were on the air from the CNFY days) to a reader of your blog today.

I just got back from a holiday and was very sad to here about your father... I lost both of my parents at a young age and can relate.

Get Junie to put a few things into your blog on a regular basis to keep herself busy, and spend as much time together as possible with her.

Your family, brother's and sister's and grand kids and of course great grand kids the best thing to help her and yourselves as a family to get though this loss.

All of the best.

Remember that tomorrow is a new day , keep all you love close.

Arghhh !!! Congress involved in regualting sports ! And it's covered like a national security issue !!!!There should be an article "Why is Congress Involved in Regulating Sports ?"Then when you think of all the corrput, lying politicians in Congress, here they pick on some two-bit sports gladiator to make an example of !!!.....:-)

I'm not a baseball fan, but this whole episode stinks to the high heavens. WHY in God's name is congress (A group of liars if there ever was one) WASTING their valuable time on a baseball player who allegedly lied about taking drugs that may even kill him someday. The country is in the grip of a horrible mess caused by the inattention of politicians for the last 30 years. That boil is getting ready to burst,and here we have Congress trying to "look busy". It's really disgusting. It's impossible for Congress to hold anyone in contempt, because that is the feeling that the entire country has -against THEM!.....:-)
