One Down Three To Go

April 28, 2008 @ 08:14

Actually, it should be two down and two to go.

Saturday night’s victory over the Montreal Canadiens was extremely refreshing on one hand for Hab haters, but frustrating on the other because the Flyers could have easily won the first game as well.

I realize on not the most proficient analyst when it comes to hockey, but I really can’t see how the Habs will win a game in Philly.

The Flyers are too physical and too willing to go where the Habs won’t and I think this will be magnified in Philadelphia.

Look for the “K Boys” to disappear at the Wachovia Centre and the Flyers to win decisively. Hopefully we can finally put this Montreal fantasy to rest.

By the way, don’t forget, I’ve predicted the Habs won make the playoffs next year.

*K Boys – Koivu, Kovalev, Kostitsyns.

Aw here we go, it's the same old song and dance. It never fails does it?

The habs probably could've won on Saturday night, but Biron was on his game and Price did let in some that he should've stopped.
But hey, that's ok, can't win 'em all. Game 3 is tonight and I have confidence in Price he's gonna bounce back, and the Habs are gonna win.

In retrospect, the thing we have to remember is that this is Freddie's personal blog; which means he is allowed to be dillusional, irrational, and even downright stupid if he so chooses.

Freddie is great when he is talking about things that he is knowledgeable about (i.e., politics, food, current events). We just have to realize that he is a dumb arse when it comes to hockey. The Fan 590 makes fun of fans like him all the time (like Vito from Woodbridge).

I'm sure when the Habs make the playoffs again next year, he'll once again call it lucky.

There is a reason that Freddie did great at stations like the Mix, Mojo, and of course the Edge. On those platforms he is able to come across smart, funny, and insightful. That is why he isn't working for the Fan or Sportsnet - it is just not a platform suited too.

Wow, you are not saying the Fan is smart, funny and insightful are you?

Yeah so really, Fred is Smart, Funny and Insightful, Whats wrong with having an opinion, BTW, Philly in 5

For the record, I would never say that the Fan is smart or funny. Their morning show drives me nuts, and I would like nothing more then to have Humble and Fred to listen to in the mornings again.

I also agree that there is nothing wrong with Fred having an opinion. This is his blog - he is supposed to be giving us his opinions.

My point, or I should say my opinion is that Fred is typically pretty rationale when it comes to his postings, and has earned a large degree of credibility over the past couple of years. I would however say, that when it comes to hockey he lacks that credibility because his arguments become emotional instead of rationale.

The Habs had a decent first period, but just couldn't get anything passed Biron, and the third period was awsome, scored 2 power play goals, that too many men on the ice called screwed things up though cause they had lots of momentom before that.
I think they need to start Halak on Wendsday night, give Price a break.
I think Price is tired. Since they traded Huet Price was in on all but 4 games, he started 7 of the last 8 regular season games and every game in the playoffs untill he got chased after the second period.

Dont count the Habs out yet. They win game 4 on Wensday then go back home and win 2 out of 3 they move on.

Aw, this was a basically top quality article. In theory I’d prefer to write like this also – taking time and genuine work to produce a quality content… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to have anything done.
