Along with his note about MOJO, Captain Phil, who’s currently the Promotions coordinator with a station in Vancouver sent me the picture below.
It goes way back to pre Humble and Fred times at CFNY. As a matter of fact, Steve Anthony was the morning man at the time.
As part of our listener Chritmas Party, we created a band called “The Slime Dogs” of which I was a small part. I’d get up and sing two songs. Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and of course Snow Removal Machine.
The picture features Alan Cross in the middle with Captain Phil, yours truly and former CFNY jock Hal Harbour on the right side. On the left are three listeners who made up the rest of the band. Mike Mangov, Jo Jo and Grant Ivens.
The dog is Alan’s, and right now I can’t remember its name. Al, if you read this, let us know.
