re Derringer show and McGuinty and medicine.
I wrote McGuinty when he won the election and congratulated him although I didn't really care as I liked the other guy.
I asked him how many new spots in Ontario medical schools had been added in order to get more Doctors here. No reply yet. When was the election? They really don't care. If McGuinty is rushed to hospital the whole emergency room would jump. I had my mom at East General last year 8 hr wait and asked an attendant to help her with the washroom. She said she would then disappeared. She went home. I had to ask someone else and they did help. Someone stole her diamond ring there. I talked to security. They didn't care. My ex broke a rib lifting a patient as a nurse in a Toronto Hospital. Is WSIB there for her---NO--100lb nurses lifting 200lb patients. They have proters that can help but you have to put out an APB to find one. Not a cent from WSIB so far and I'm sure it will be a fight. Call McGuinty about it...sure, that would really work. All politicians care about is headlines and votes.

... I have to agree with your comment on Ben Mulroney ... I can't stand seeing his ugly mug on tv either ... when I do, it's only for about a second and a half before I find something else. Ya, it would have been nice, as per your comments on the air, if Brian got a BJ that day instead of the full deal, which resulted in Ben. Great session on Q this morning.

I got excited when you said sales... as you know I always have a job open for you here, although it would require working almost 4 hours a day. I know that's more than you're used to. The other thing to consider is that our average rep makes 200g's a year and could you handle the pay cut?

Hey Freddie, I'm one of those throwbacks who listened regularly to H&F.
Perhaps you were, but I don't recall you being as vocal and opinionated as you were this morning.
It was great, hilarious and definitely entertaining and informative. I'll be a regular reader of this blog from this day forward.
I really do hope that you and your opinions get a much wider audience. Personally I think Ontario and hell, Canada itself, needs people like you. People who represent, or at the very least, expresses the views that the everyday person have.
Look forward to reading more in the days to come.

Like a thousand other emails you must have got today I heard you on with Derringer this am.
I remember when you and humble were on the edge in the morning and Derringer was on Q107 in the afternoon. Sure helped with the commute in both directions. I live in Lindsay, I'm sure you see the signs when you are on the way to the tin shack. It was only a short while though as Derringer had just went back to Q and Stern was on in the morning. When they got rid of Stern I had to flip back and forth on the dial. BTW would have loved you on with Waters full time. That Brady dude is ok but he is too green.... Billy needs some one a little more opinionated to spar with. Anyway I enjoyed your site and will check back often. It was nice to see and read about Sandra P, Maie, Shwarma, Bingo etc but I couldn't find anything on the lovely Jessica Baker. Any idea where she is?

Some things in life simply do not make sense and the fact that you are not a daily fixture on the radio is one of them. One day soon someone is going to wake up and get you back in the saddle again. Since Henny at 1050 disappeared I've listened to Derringer.
He's a man for the common man and we all like that in rich people.
His support of various causes is admirable and I told him that at one of his street house shows years ago and I could see he genuinely appreciated that.

Hearing you on the Edge was great too Fred in addition to the Q. I agree with some of the other comments posted, you really spoke your mind on Derringer, much more than I remember from the latter days of Humble and Fred.
Liked the suggestion also posted about you working at the Wolf. Maybe it could be seasonal and you could commute from the Trailer!

Imagine my surprise the other morning when Derringer welcomes
FreddieP back to radio! Fred it's great to hear that your still in
the game after all these years. We go back to the early days of CFNY
with Pete and Geets, Brampton, The Spoons, and of course Marsden. I
always enjoyed listening to your sportscasts when you were the live
in observer to P&G to when you survived through the eye of the storm
(aka Steve Anthony) to come out as a bonafide morning man!
Well, a new blog to go visit each day.
Enjoy life, enjoy the trailer, and my god I hope you still live in
Brampton! There's not many old white guys left! :)
