I’ve read a fair bit on Cassie over the past year. Chris Zelkovich in the Star has pointed out her incompetence as a rink side reporter. Despite being rather brutal at her job look for her to get a gig with a US sports channel (ESPN) in the next year or so. You read it here first.
They seem to grab our incompetent female and visible minority male reporters. The list is pretty long.

No arguement here on Cassie. I find her likable while being interviewed but cringe through her segments as the interviewer.
There is a double standard when it comes to women covering men's sports, and only a few women seem to be able to be comfortable in that role. I think that Catherine Humphries would be better in that role if the job description requires boobs.

Brenda Irving at CBC is one of the few good ones. I like Humphries because she doesn’t take it too seriously – sports anit brain surgery folks. Martine Gaillard at Sportsnet is great – to look at only.

Can't agree with you on this one, Freddy, or with most of the comments posted. I find Cassie Campbell refreshing and interesting. Yes, she's a novice, but will no doubt get better with the technical issues over time. I think she's doing fine - would hate to see her go. BTW, I can think of a few white guys -- initials TD and JF Jr. come to mind -- who deserve this kind of criticism more than Cassie Campbell.

how about we article moderators get rid of nonsense comments? Various press online websites I visit that allow comments; the comments are so beset with trolls and rubbish, I never make an effort analyzing the comments. Be advised remove the trash. Not one person will miss it; what's more slice out the tangents in some cases people try.
