Did any one check out the Daily Show last night it was funny as hell they made fun of the whites and the Blacks if you get a chance catch the repeat on today

I heard Obama’s speech yesterday. While he stated that the rev’s comments were wrong he defended them by explaining the comments – that he was a person who had experienced the struggles as a black American. He also went out of his way to bring up Geraldine Ferraro and his own grandmother. So much for his loyalty that his supporters talk about. What he didn’t say about his grandmother was that she helped raise him along with his mother (both white) while his black father hit the road. He’s kind of a stereotype that way……..oh well.

Argie,
He did say that his grandparents help raised him. He was very clear on that. No he didn't say his father split but he is dead and it wasn't relevant.
His Ferraro reference was in support of Ferraro saying that people are jumping on the most banal things to make it more divissive.
How wasn't he loyal? He didn't throw Wright under a bus and seperate himself. He showed his love for the man but comdemned his views. That is loyalty.

Let's not forget that McCain has the same problem. There just isn't Youtube footage.

He threw his white granny under the bus.
March 19, 2008 / 10:38
Well said, Fred. Americans are being offered a tremendous opportunity with Obama, and they should go for it.
March 19, 2008 / 10:39
How? By saying she had fears like a lot of other white Americans?
March 19, 2008 / 10:49
There’s an obvious double standard. I’m no fan of Romney but he had no chance with most Americans because of his religion. He’s Mormon which is considered kind of kooky by many people. You couldn’t find a Mormon preacher who would have spewed the hate this joker did but yet Obama gets a pass.
Romney is now on the sidelines while obama is still going strong. He’s also a lot more qualified than Obama.
Ah the mighty pendulum has swung the other way.
March 19, 2008 / 11:09
I was talking about McCain's minister saying the Catholic church was a "whore". Who is getting the pass there?
I really don't think Obama's getting a pass. This has hurt him and will continue to do so. Of all people Bill O'Reilly had the right questions. He applauded Obama's speech and his handling of the situation but asked a very simple question that needs to be answered...Does Obama let his young daughters listen to Wright speak this hate?
That I am not sure about.
March 19, 2008 / 11:41
Andrew: first of Rev Hagee is not McCain’s minister. He’s a supporter who McCain later denounced – as he should have. This Hagee goof is wrong as Obama’s guy but he isn’t and never has been McCain’s pastor nor did he baptize his children. Therefore there is a difference.
March 19, 2008 / 12:57
What cat is out of the bag, Bob?
Your obvious hate for the man shows but you have yet to back it up with anything either than Michael Coren's big expose on someone Obama knows. Obama never said those things. Just like McCain never said anything about the Catholic Church.
March 19, 2008 / 14:26
Once again Barrack cuts off his nose to spite his race......I think he farted too!
March 19, 2008 / 14:30
I don't buy any of this Obama mania crap. Kind of reminds me of the Trudeau mania days. How could he associate himself with this racist bigot for 3 years or 5 years let alone 20 years!!
Obama is a joke another typical politician. Full of CRAP!!!
March 19, 2008 / 15:32
The only cat out of the bag is Michael Coren -- a moron and a self-righteous bigot at that. Gad, what a church lady he is. I'd say he belongs on Fox News, except that it's too classy for him.
March 19, 2008 / 15:48
Trish: Have you lost your mind? I don’t always agree with him but Coren is a fair commentator who happened to bring this important issue to light a few months ago. If you’ve fallen for the Obama-mania that’s fine, just try to be honest about his critics.
March 19, 2008 / 16:03
Andrew: Do you know me??? I don't think so. Therefore, don't assume things. For your information, No, I don't hate Obama but I have my own opinion about him.
March 19, 2008 / 16:22
I've wavered back and forth, but now I believe Obama is toast. The lead he built up in the primaries has evaporated because of his attachment to "Pastor" Wright. Trish, I recommend you watch this guy's inflammatory speeches on YouTube. He is divisive, racist and dangerous. That's Hitler talk he's spouting. He will seek power through Obama, should he be elected president. Obama should condemn him.
If the democrats don't slam the door on Obama now, then they risk leaving it open for McCain to walk through.
Go Mrs. Clinton.
March 19, 2008 / 17:08
I have not lost my mind, Argie. In fact, nothing pains me more than to have to give Oprah a shout-out for encouraging him to run.
And Argie, I am being completely honest about Michael Coren. He is the unbending guardian of right - no grey areas for him - only black or white. He is pin-head who is as guilty of intolerance as Pastor Wright.
And Pam, I don't believe Obama would get this far and then f*** it up, when the possibility of his being elected is obviously so meaningful to black and white americans alike. He will work this out. So he's got a racist uncle in the family! Name me someone who hasn't...
March 20, 2008 / 08:03
Bob, in case you haven't noticed, Andrew knows everything and everybody.
Just ask him.
I'm not sure I share your prediction about Obama, but I do share your opinion of his qualifications for President.

And stop using that lame leftist straw man to try to justify it. No one has told the Muslims that they can’t build a mosque. Those of us who oppose are saying “don’t do it THERE.” There are zoning ordinances across the nation that dictate where various businesses and other organizations can build. This is no different. There has already been discussion in NY about allowing this bunch to put the mosque somewhere else. But now that Obama has (again) stuck his nose in where it doesn’t belong, things are escalating out of control.

Even Marc Jacobs is known to be a step fashion, so do not be surprised if this is the right way.
