I don't like the Canadian system at all. I don't like to vote for a representitive of the Government instead of the actual person running. I would never vote Liberal right now because of the two idiots at the head of Ontatio and Canada. They may be a great rep in my area but I couldn't bring myself to vote for them due to the way Canada works.
The American version isn't much better. With all the Delegate and Super-Delegates it is very confusing and stupid. The Primary should not run more than a month. It will only hurt the Democratic party this time.

Mike, Its John McCain not Mclean, and Fred, I Think you are absolutely right, I have been thinking the same thing but looking for a way to say it, I may post a piece of this on my site for Buffalo/US readers.
Our system is ridiculous. Not to mention, our votes count indirectly in that delegates get elected to choose the nominee. So if Hilary wins say 55% of the vote in a given state that has 100 delegates she gets 55 delegates and Obama or who ever gets 45. Why can't the friggin thing be a popular vote in each state and that state goes to the winner of the popular vote.
You know why? because then Republicans would say that we are dumbing it down and we shouldn't call the American populous dumb.
The delegates are like the electoral college come the general election.
