Fred: I agree Leaf fans are quick to anoint the next Leaf superstar but thus far Gamache has been an exciting player to watch. It seems to me Watters really dislikes this guy - for no apparent reason. I think Watters is stuck in the old Pat Quinn way of thinking. Which is “I don't care how great a player is, if he's under 25 I don't want him on my team.†Paul Maurice has come out and said he likes Gamache which leads me to think this guy might make the team.
And once again, Watters will be wrong. He just seems to enjoy telling us what will happen despite the fact he's frequently wrong.
Remember, Watters' title with the Leafs was ASSISATNT TO THE GENERAL MANAGER, not Assistant General Manager. He was basically Dwight in The Office.
