I have no idea why Jack keeps hiring a morning man/men. The main reason people listen to Jack is because they stress the whole “only music, no talk from DJs†thing. I like the fact you can tune in on the weekend and don't have to listen to an unfunny DJ - only music with the odd commercial. By having a morning man who constantly yaps, they change the focus and strength of the station entirely. They eliminate their uniqueness and become like every other radio station in the morning.

Even Steve Kennedy the PD who had great numbers at JACK CALGARY could not breathe life into this puppy and he was given the boot a few months ago.

This is another quality Rogers product They have no real idea on how to run things,they go through the day doing alot of trial and error
I have heard Ben and Kerry in the morning they seemed to be a very americian type programing very mono tone
not a lot of laughing or jokeing around

I had the opportunity to "work" with Carly a few times when I guest hosted Guys Garage with Johnny B at MOJO. She's a really nice girl, it's nice to see she's doing well.

Why is it that in Canada's biggest city, with four daily newspapers, three 24 hour news stations and countless internet sites, the only place that I ever read any news about the radio biz is here on Freddie P's blog?
The media criticism and reporting in this city is abysmal. Thanks for keeping us up to date, Fred.

For those in the radio business - is there a connection here? Ben and Kerry are shown the door on Thursday - the very same day Derringer and company broadcast from Graceland on the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death. On Friday we're told that the team is on holiday for a couple of weeks. What does it mean? It's not the first time a morning team has disappeared for a couple of weeks without warning. What's it all about?

I'm not too sure they know what the hell they're doing there. First off, ANYONE except Jeff Chalmers. The guy stunk when he was at Q, and is the furthest thing from a "good" morning man. What the hell do we need radio personalities for anyway? Give us MUSIC, MUSIC, and more MUSIC. Oh yah, don't forget to eliminate the 6 and 7 minute commercial sets too!

I listened to Ben and Kerry at their previous raido station and everyone loved them there. I listed to Jack because of Ben kerry... and still will support the station.

B & K were brutal. c'mon! I was one anecdote about the guy's step-kid, or one more political comment away from tuning out forever when they were fired, seriously. they should put the news guy and the traffic guys on the air, and that's it. they're funny.

Arg! I listened to Ottawa's Chez106 *because* of Jeff Brown and Carly Klassen. They're a great team! Too bad they've headed back to T.O. but good news for Toronto listeners I guess. Perhaps I'll check out JackFM on internet...

Stephen, I know how you feel. I listented to Chez occasionally until Jeff and Carly got their show (3:00 - 6:00pm). I have tuned to Chez 106 every day since then... Now that they are no longer in Ottawa, I don't listen to the radio anymore... Back to my car CD collection... They will be greatly missed here in Ottawa, and I hope they come back soon...
