Isnt the Dog Man the same guy from that TV show a few years ago called The Lofters?

yeah. that guy was a hothead on the lofters too. it was only a matter of time until he did something stupid to get himself on tv again (and frankly, i wouldn't doubt it if he went overboard just to make the news).
why does he have handcuffs? sure, let them write tickets, and maybe give them a club to defend against attacks (from dogs or people), but if somebody needs to be arrested, call a real cop. at least a police officer (and transit officers too for that matter) is properly trained and understands that he is responsible for the health & safety of those in his custody. this nutjob handcuffed a guy to the passenger door of his car - what was he thinking? he had the guy's name & vehicle license # so there was no chance they couldn't track him down later to charge him if that's what they wanted to do. he oughta be strung up for endangering the dog owner's life just as much as the dog owner endangered his dog's life. if the commies at the humane society reinstate this whackjob then watch out - the next guy he "arrests" is going to file one hell of a lawsuit.

I just watched the debate on CH and I was outraged at the "dog lady" not letting the others speak nor did she answer any of the questions she was asked. I am glad they cut her short because I was ready to put a brick through my TV. What kind of world is this where anyone can handcuff another human being without the authority to do so? I am not condoning what the dog owner did by any means but look at it for what it is. The owner obviously loved their pet otherwise why would they have taken the dog with them in the first place? Bad judgement? Yes. Did this person deserve to be beaten and handcuffed? NO. Come on people, would you like to be handcuffed and beaten for a bad judgement? I hope this person sues the powers that be over this and I hope this vigilante "dog catcher" loses his job. By the way I am a dog owner and I believe in the Humane Society but I dont feel they have the right to do what this IDIOT did.

Hey, Freddie, enjoyed seeing you on CH. I didn't get to hear you too much, it seemed the ever so caring and hysterical advocate was allowed to monopolize the discussion.
anyway, this guy should be facing criminal charges, obviously overstepped his authority, not to mention a lawsuit.
