David Millers decision making process
I think we need to make a decision today Hum what way is the wind blowing
This guy is classless spineless gutless clueless
Ass
To publicly say one day that he doesn't support the war and then when a resident of Toronto becomes a causality of this war that he doesn't support he all of a sudden changes his stance
as for the members of council who abstained from voting on the ribbon issue
I would like to see them removed from any Remembrance Day ceremonies or any thing that has to do with our military
They are not worthy of any photo opps

My friend and I were just discussing this this morning.
My stance is that if there are Canadian troops fighting anywhere in the world, we as Canadians should be showing them all the support we can. The yellow ribbon is not a show of support for the war, it is a show of support for the troops who are brave enough to do what I am not...give their lives for their country. We should show our support and gratitude to them every chance we get.

I hate the fact that our young people are half way around the world getting killed. (For what? The war on terror? BUSH?)If it was all so important, why did we not support the other war, in the other country? I have two relatives over there. Of course I support the troops. What I do not support is Politicians grinding axes. Bring them home. We have NO business there! I wonder how many Politicians kids are there?

Why is there a reluctance to finish the job in Afghanistan all of a sudden? This is a country that was run by evil, evil people that had been training in camps to kill our way of life. The Taliban government needed to be removed from power to give the chance of restoring order. The job has proven to be much harder than most imagined, so should we should give up? I say finish the job as this conflict should not be confused with the mess in Iraq. Only those who are universally anti-American will lump the two together. Support the troops, and support the war.

Well Murph, evil will always be around. But us Canadians will squash it in Afghanistan. (rolls eyes) Who declared a war? Not us!! Should we give up? Can anybody say Vietnam?

Murph -Open a history book and take a look, there have been many attempts to overthrow Afghanistan by larger and more determined forces then what is there now and it has never been successful, so whoever believed it would be “harder than most imagined†should be sent there instead of the honorable Canadian forces, sorry, but that comment is just plain dumb. So, I guess the reluctance to "finish" the job, is a historical fact that we will never be able to "finish" the job. As for the confusion between Iraq and Afghanistan, you're correct, there shouldn't be any! The harboring of terrorist camps and becoming a base for war against our way of life by the forces in Afghanistan is not a debate, however the connection between Iraq……another day…..let's just agree to support the troops and the efforts to free the Afgan people from the Taliban, and plaster the stickers with pride.

David Miller is a dangerous man and the left wing losers of Toronto bought right into his act. Toronto will be bankrupt before the next municipal election.
The sad part is that even if someone new comes in 4 years from now....the mess that these left wing losers are leaving may be too big to fix.
Toronto is becoming the 'joke' of Canada.

Rob Ford is a joke, Freddie,
stop relying on him and The Toronto Sun for your info, lest you look silly your own self.

Lew - I guess your right. Lets bring them home this weekend in time for Canada Day. That way we wont disrupt any upcomming Al-Qaeda graduation ceremonies.
Hey Freddie, please pull this blog-string on the next 911 disaster.

Murph - Either I'm not writing what I'm thinking or your not reading what I'm writing.
My response was to your statement about a quick victory in Afghanistan. To believe so is not only an irresponsible statement; it demeans the job being done by Canada and our troops by insinuating that without a quick victory, somehow we have lost. History and the belief by the natives that we are occupiers NOT liberators will lead to a long drawn out affair; that can only be won by proper reconstruction, not blind destruction.
As for the parade on Canada Day comment, please be aware that we are scheduled to bring our troops home in 2009, and I for one am for keeping them there. My reason is that if ever there was a country to help truly liberate the Afghan people it is Canada. So no celebration that day, just paying respects to those who deserve it.
Finally, the next 911 please post all the “blow'em out of the sky†comments. Sorry, but “Shock and Awe†is not a winning mandate, it is antagonistic, which just leads to more recruits.

Lew, you had to go ahead and write a reasonable response like that? I think we are both on the same side of this one. Well said.

My opinion on this bag juicy dreamer is a must for any fan of girly bag. A nice warm color of the lead dangling, stimuli on the front, accented interspersed in the front seat and a bra on top of the Replica Leather Handbags have it all. The size of this bag is approximately 10? H x 13 W x 6? D.

Thanks so much for your brilliant article;this is the kind of thing that keeps me going through my day. I've been searching around for your site after being referred to them from a colleague and was thrilled when I was able to find it after searching for long time. Being a avid blogger, I'm pleased to see others taking initivative and contributing to the community. Just wanted to comment to show my appreciation for your blog as it is very appleaing, and many writers do not get admiration they deserve. I am sure I'll be back and will recommend to my friends.
