I've been to Graceland on a road trip from Toronto - Dallas, it was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen. Memphis has a lot to offer, National Civil Rights Museum, located in the former Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, to Beale Street, where a young B.B. King used to play his guitar and the best frozen hurricanes outside of Bourbon Street.

I definitely prefer The Beatles to Elvis but I can also appreciate Elvis' talent. He was a terrific singer and entertainer. Like Freddie, I don't own any Elvis music but if the odd song is played near me, I'll listen.

I dislike both Elvis and The Beatles, but dislike the Beatles even more. When I think Beatles, I think tinny sounding 60's pop that is that generation's equivalent of New Edition or Hanson. That might sound harsh, but that's how i feel, which is exactly how I feel about this generation's Oasis - a modern day rip off of said Beatles. Give me The Clash, Radiohead and criminally under appreciated James any day.

I think comparing the Beatles to New Edition or Hanson is a bit, well ridiculous. At fisrt yes, the Beatles were a poppy boy band but, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Abbey Road? Come on! There were some unparalleled melodies and profound lyrics on those albums. Not to mention fun, original music. Maybe you're one of those people who only like music that makes them cry themselves to sleep because it's really “deepâ€. I LOVE Radiohead and the Clash, but they don't come close to touching the Beatles. And I say this as a 25 year old woman, who probably should think the Beatles are lame. They are timeless. And Elvis ain't half bad either. He inspired a lot of great musicians including my beloved Beatles.

We wouldn't have Rock Music today if we didn't have the Beatles. They changed the style of Rock Music three times. They paved the way for The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Who, Pink Floyd, Queen and todays new rock such as White Stripes, Oasis, The Killers. Elvis is comparative to todays manufactured boy bands/singers......ie. justin Timberlake
