Ummm... you go on a road trip to watch an out of town hockey game and you don't buy tickets in advance? Wouldn't that be the first thing you do before taking such a trip... especially to Montreal. I mean, this isn't Nashville where half the building is empty. We are talking about Montreal... a hockey hot bed. I applaud John for wanting spend some time with his boys in this way... but he was absolutely silly for not purchasing tickets ahead of time. I sincerely hope that he has made calls to New Jersey and Philly to make sure those games aren't sold out either. Ok, maybe not Jersey. ;)

Good for John.
That's a great story with a happy ending.
Good on the Bell Centre security team for keeping an eye on the boys and being understanding of the situation.
Although Montreal may be a hockey hotbed, On a Tuesday Night in March, that big arena is not usually sold out.

I have just one question. If Big John had been given 4 more bogus ducats, would that scalpers "boys" be hanging like Sadam's?

UpDate from New Jersey, With regard to Montreal Tickets, there were no tickets available, you could buy one on line, but 4 was impossible, everything worked out but I have a feeling the french that witnessed the altercation are probably saying I am an English Pig. Oh Well, sitting in east rutherford, the kids have remarked that nobody around here even knows there is a hockey team. Looking for scalpers here was a waste of time, you just walk up to ticket sales, no line ups, bought the $30.00 tickets and sat anywhere you wanted. I must say the arena looks good for being 20 something years old, I guess no private boxes shuts it down. The devil fan's (3) that I found were pretty disgusted that the team was going to newark, they explained to me that newark is a slum, but I kept my thought's to myself with regards to slums, this whole state is a slum. Oh Well. When we pulled into the hotel, (Crowne Plaza), some lady had just had her purse snatched, i am glad we stayed upscale. We had dinner at Cheeseburgers in Paradise, got some great tiki bar ideas, its like this bar was built for me. Anyway thats it for now, heading through NYC, maybe central park, then off to Philly, kids still excited about the art museum, we are pretty cultured when it comes to the art museum, the kids have track suits ready. Got to go, more sirens. Be Back for St, Paddies Cheers.

Nice job John!! The boys will have a great story for the rest of their lives about the 260 pound muscle bound scalper that their dad made mince meatout of. I did the Art museum run after a few boiler makers one year. Work of advice don't get a Philly pretzel, a few boiler maker's and run your ass up those stairs you'll pay for it.
