Interesting, Freddie. I was at the Seneca casino/hotel in Niagara Falls, NY last night and watched the Sabres in one of the casino bars. Nobody...I mean NOBODY seemed to care. I engaged a couple of fellas at the blackjack table during shuffles and they told me they expected them out in the first or second round. But Christ they still love the Bills. I think the Buffalo media make more of the team than a seasoned hockey guy like yerself or my blackjack buddies do.

Huh? What are you two talking about. Freddie I respect your hockey views but read what you and Stafford are saying. Stafford, I dont know where you were playing but if it was anywhere close to a bar then you would hear the cheers going with every goal. And as for you Freddie, The NHL did call penalties throughout the playoffs last year and did a very consistent job from the regular to the post season. They have been pretty consistent throughout this season. Of course Leaf fans would not have noticed that last year because oops they had no reason to watch the playoffs. Buffalo could very well have the deepest team in the playoffs look at what their fourth line will be going into the first round, Max, Connelly and Paille All of them can score.
This team just finished a very successful road trip and came back and spanked NJ last night with two of their returning injured players scoring. We all know that the guys that were up can play so injuries are not a concern. And Freddie if you think they are not tough enough, They can throw in Mair or Peters when every they choose to to keep a team honest but lets face it, the playoffs are about hockey not goonery. And as far as hitting this team, you cant hit what you cant catch.

I need to say, as much as I appreciated reading what you had to convey, I couldnt help but lose attention after a while. Its as if you had a terrific grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you need to think about this from more than 1 angle. Or maybe you should not generalise so very much. Its better if you think of what others may have to say as opposed to just going for the gut reaction to the topic. Consider modifying your own thought process and giving others who might look over this the benefit of the doubt.
